time had passed by and my life had been going pretty good! my mom didnt drink as much, Jungwon and me could stay in the same room without insulting each other and I had learnt how to cook!
now it was time to go back to school and I didn't really want to. I heard my doorbell ring, "
oh that must be sunoo!"
I rushed over and also saw jungwon there.
"uhh hi?! why is he there"
I asked sunoo and he shrugged,
"he wanted to come along so why not?!"
I nodded and walked with them.
we reached campus and I stopped in my tracks,
"what's wrong?!"
they asked me,
"uhh the two of you are really popular. do y'all really think I should walk with you?!"
jungwon rolled his eyes,
"just come on in!"
sunoo agreed with him too,
"I don't think anything bad is gonna happen"
I took a deep breath and nodded.
"they're just seventeen, what's the worse that could happen?!"
I said to myself and walked in.
people took notice, I could hear them whispering. let me tell you, it was the most uncomfortable moment of my life.
we parted ways with sunoo who was in the B wing.
"you okay?!"
jungwon asked me and I nodded,
"I think I'm fine"
he looked at me with concern and intertwined our fingers.
"what are you doing?!"
I whisper-yelled.
"it's okay, just play along... okay?!"
I nodded. it was the first day of school and I didn't want any kind of drama.
we walked into class and the kids were kinda surprised to see the quiet kid with the popular one.
we took our seats and waited for the teacher to come in. jungwon rested his head on his desk and I rolled my eyes,
"it's the first day of school and you're already falling asleep"
I said and he chuckled.
"well the teacher's not in yet"
"I really don't know how you get such good grades even after sleeping during every class. you don't even write notes"
I said.
"my noonas give me notes"
I gasped.
"that's so cool. ask them to give me some too!"
I said and he let out a small laugh.
"well I would, but someone doesn't like my noonas"
he mocked me and I scoffed.
"well anyways, our project is done! lets hope we get good grades"
he said and i crossed my fingers.
the teacher still hadn't walked in and the first class was almost over.
"is ms. hirai okay?! she hasn't come this late, ever"
I said and he nodded.
"you're right"
"wanna ditch?!"
jungwon asked me and my eyes widened,
"what?! no way!"
I said.
"aww come on, please??"
he asked me with puppy eyes and I rolled my eyes.
"fine, but only because I'm in a good mood"
he smiled widely,
"let's go!"
he grabbed my arm and took me outside the classroom.
he took me to the music room I dearly loved and sat down.
"why are we here?!"
I asked him,
"well... remember when you first came to this school?!"
he said and I nodded.
"I saw you play the piano"
I gasped,
"well I knew you would flip out if I complimented you then, so I decided to do it now! play fake love again please?"
I rolled my eyes,
"no"
he pouted,
"please"
he begged me and I gave in,
"fine"
I said and walked to the piano.
"jungwon, I've heard you sing! c'mon sing"
he got flustered,
"but-"
"dude, come on! I'm playing the piano even though I don't want to the least you could do is sing!"
I said and he nodded
"fine, start"
i played the notes and he started singing.
"If it was all for you I could pretend like I was happy when I was sad~"

i played the last notes and smiled. whenever we made eye contact in the middle of the song, I would feel butterflies in the pits of my stomach.
I chuckled.
"that was nice"
he nodded.
"maybe we could be a duo!"
i scoffed
"never, goliath"
I said.
"be my david then" I furrowed my brows, "you want me to defeat you with no mercy?! sweet~"
"wait no-"
"too late!" i pinned him to the floor. we started at each other for a while. the bell rang and I let go of him immidiately, "dang it! we should've told kissed"
