Today was the day of the talent contest and these past few days me and jungwon had been practicing like crazy.

I was backstage fixing my makeup while jungwon was fixing his hair.

"I'm nervous"

I said and he nodded.

"me too"

I took a deep breath and continued.

"what if I miss a chord?!"

I whined and he shook his head.

"you won't, don't worry. I've done these almost every year. you'll be nervous now, but once you're on the stage it's like paradise"

he said and I smiled, trying to calm myself down.

"I look good, right?!"

he nodded,

"you look beautiful"

my cheeks turned pink at his words but I ignored it.

"okay, should we practice now?!"

he nodded, walking to the keyboard in our green room.

"coming up next we have, hwang eunbi and yang jungwon!"

I could here tons of people scream and not gonna lie, I was nervous as heck.

"you ready?!"

I nodded, taking a deep breath as I walked to the stage.

I got my guitar and played the first note, jungwon starting the song.

(okay but jungwon singing fairy of shampoo would be heaven 😭😭)

I don't know why I was so nervous. jungwon was right, when you start the song, everything melts away.

we successfully finished the song and walked backstage, squealing.

"that was... good!"

I said and he nodded.

"that was amazing! the guitar sounded really good!"

"so did the piano!"

I blushed, my heart still beating fast from performing.

"wanna go get some ice cream from the cafeteria?! it's a special menu for the show today!"

I nodded

"I'd love that!"

we got some ice cream and walked back to the auditorium. I saw a bunch of guys that looked familiar.

"omg, enhypen?!"

they squealed,

"ahh our lovely eunbi and jungwonie!"

heeseung screamed while ruffling my hair and I chuckled.

"long time no see!"

"hyungs?! why are you here?!"

jungwon asked and I furrowed my brows,

"you know them?!"

he nodded,

"yeah, they're my friends"

I gasped, realization hitting me,

"so you're the jungwonie that always said 'ew girls' and ran away?!"

they nodded and I burst out into laughter.

"gosh, I can't believe it!"

I said and they nodded.

"eunbi I missed you!"

niki said and I chuckled.

"I missed you too!"

"you guys were amazing! I'm sure y'all are gonna win"

jake said and I played with my fingers.

"god, I hope so"

"now, it's finally time for announcing the winners" me and jungwon held hands, praying it was us.

"coming up first place is..."

"it can't be us right?!"

I asked jungwon,

"I have no idea"

"jungwon and eunbi!"

we looked at each other sadly

"oh congrats to the winners- wait a minute, it's us!"

I said and he gasped.

"you're right, it is!"

"gosh how dumb are you guys"

niki face palmed himself and we giggled.

we grabbed our price and ran down, the boys congratulated us with hugs.

"omg y'all are so cool!"

sunghoon said and I chuckled.

"thanks guys! we gotta tell sunoo"

"party at jay's house!"

jake declared and we nodded, laughing.

"fine, but only because they won first place"
