the dreaded exam season was finally over and me and jungwon studied every single day. now, it was time for the results to come out.

"what do you think you'll get?!"

I asked jungwon who was refreshing his mail every two seconds.

"I'm not sure. I'll probably rank 15"

he said and I shook my head,

"you'll rank higher. you're smarty-pants yang jungwon who gets no 1 all the time!"

I said and he tilted his head,

"I don't know if I should take it as a compliment or an insult"

he said and I chuckled.

"now focus on my problems! I think I'm gonna rate thirty!"

he looked at me,

"there are only 30 people in our class, eunbi"

"I know!"

I said in a duh tone and he rolled his eyes.

"you explained the topics to me! if I'm gonna be first, you're gonna be... mega first!"

he said and I laughed.

"well I'm good at explaining but when the exam day comes, I blank out"

I said and he patted my back.

"it's okay, oH MY GOD ITS HERE!"

he screamed and I refreshed my mail inbox.

I opened the mail and jungwon did too,

"okay, we tell each other on the count of three"

I nodded.

"one..."

"...two..."

... three!"

"1st place!"

"1st place?!"

we looked at each other in confusion.

"aH WHATEVER LETS JUST REJOICE!"

I said and we danced across his room.

"yuh, we did it~!"

he sang and I laughed.

"we should go put and eat some ice cream!"

jungwon suggested and I smiled widely,

"your treat!"

I said and he chuckled.

"fine!"

we walked to the ice cream parlour and got our favourite flavours.

"mint choco is the best!"

I said and he looked at me in disgust,

"honey are your taste buds okay?!"

I hit him lightly,

"not funny, you should try it!"

he shook his head vigorously,

"no thank you! I'd rather eat toothpaste with chocolate"

he said in disgust.

"we're watching a movie at yours, right?!"

he nodded,

"I'm choosing!"

I rolled my eyes,

"fine"

we walked to his house and I saw an unfamiliar girl sitting on his porch, jungwon looked at her with widened eyes,

"ji sohyun?! what are you doing here?!"
