"Tell me what happened next?" Lucas said.

"When it was all over, I felt numb. I went and showered for hours but I still felt dirty. I sat and

couldn't eat. By afternoon Khloe came and the door was unlocked she found me sitting on the

rumpled bed. She told me that I had done a great job and that I had made money to sustain living

there."

"Did you confront her?" said Lucas.

"Yes, we had a heated argument. I had yelled at her for not telling me the full terms of the contract.

And do you know what she did Lucas?"

"What?"

"She just laughed in my face and she said that it was my fault for not asking. There is nothing for free

in this world."

Olivia composed herself, "Long after she left, I got up and looked around for jobs but there were

none. Khloe wouldn't split the money that we had made, she wanted to keep it for safety measures

but the more I lived with her the more I realized she had a drinking addiction and she did some

drugs. I knew I had to accept it."

"Why?" Lucas said.

"Well, there is no point in fighting the queen b, it's either you work or get thrown out. And my six

months plan turned into a year and I saw that I wouldn't be leaving anytime soon."

"Do you want to tell me why you ran away?" Lucas said.

Olivia turned to him and she saw that his eyes held no anger.

"I also don't know."

"Yes, you do."

She took a deep breath, "I wanted justice to be done. I wanted to confront Khloe. I want my own life

and happiness. Where I don't depend on any-one. Just me. All my life I have been under the control

of someone and never my own choice or will."

Lucas pulled her into his arms, and put she put her arms around him. "You will have the freedom you

desire."

Olivia pushed out of his arms frantically, "I didn't mean that. Please don't chase me out."

Lucas pulled her back into his arms, "I didn't mean it like that. If I send you away, I think I would lose

my heart."

Olivia felt something opening in her heart and she felt scared. If she gave herself fully to him,

He sees that she was never enough and then would he let her go and find someone who was more like him?

She shook the bad thoughts out of her head. Lucas wasn't like any man she had got to know. She closed her eyes and lay at ease.
