Yesterday feels like a long day. The next morning Jules didn't bother to throw a glance at me or even greet like she always does every morning.
Parang hindi niya ako kilala sa ikinikilos niya and same goes to Raya. She doesn't look at me eye to eye as well.
Napabaling ako sa isa naming kaklasse ng tinawag niya ang pangalan ni Raya ay awtomatiko akong lumingon at madali ring umiwas. I shut my eyes and curse in silence.
What the heck hero?!
Pagkatapos ng last subject namin, which is history, ay lumabas ang lahat maliban kay Hiraya na tahimik sa kanyang upoan at busy sa binabasa. Our classmates already left, Why is she still here...
Gusto ko siyang tanongin pero may pumipigil sa'akin.
Siguro sa bawat pagtangka kong hawakan ay naaalala ko ang sinabi niya at ginawa ko kahapon.
While I was busy thinking about how Jules would felt the other day, I didn't bother thinking how Raya would felt.
I tightly hold the sling of my back pack and let out a loud sighed along my intention to talk to her. Umalis ako sa classroom at pumunta sa school gymnasium. Nagbihis ako para sa practice at nag practice kami ng mga ka-team mates ko para sa gaganapin na tournament bukas at ito narin ang huling practice namin para sa tournament.
"Let's give our best!" sigaw ng aming team captain.
Nag high five kami at fist bump. Nasa locker room ako habang pinupunasan ang pawisan kong mukha gamit ang puting towel. I drink a bottle of water before I changing into my casual clothes.
Habang inilalagay ko ang mga gamit sa gym bag ko ay may nawawalang importanteng gamit para tournament bukas.
'Fuck, I left my freaking jersey under the fucking table!'
Kaninang umaga kasi ay ibinigay sa'kin ng advicer ang bagong jersey para bukas. And because my gym bag was in the locker, inilagay ko muna ang jersey ng pansamantala sa ilalim ng aking upoan.
I check the time. Mag fi-5 pa naman siguro hindi pa na l-lock ng guard ang classroom.
Nagmadali akong pumunta sa silid aralan, and thank God the door was still open! Inilagay ko sa gym bag ang jersey at umalis na. When I was almost at my way through the exit door, My ears got enticed to the musical room where the door was slightly open, letting me hear such beautiful voice.
Nang makalapit na ako ng tuluyan, nakompirma ko kung sino ang kumakanta ng mag-isa. Her voice is so goddamn beautiful.
She was singing in a softer way. Mahina at parang may pinag huhugotan siya sa bawat kinakanta. I closed my eyes as I hide next door. I don't want her to see me. Alam kong hihinto siya sa pagkanta.
She stopped. I heard sobbs, she was crying pero naririnig kong pinipigilan niyang umiyak ng malakas. I lick my lower lip as I hold back myself to barge in the musical room just so I could check if she's okay when she isn't.
It's clear she's not okay.
Mas lalo akong napahinto at humarintado ang puso ko ng nagsimula siyang magsalita habang tumatangis.
"W-why don't you see me...?"
'Ano ibig niyang sabihin? Who don't see her?'
"Why do you make it h-harder for me to let go?" she cried and sobb. "Bakit a-ayaw mo akong sagipin?"
I shut my eyes as I remain hiding from her. Listening at her cry's. Why is it so hard to push you away Raya?
"Nilalamig ako, parati akong nilalamig, natatakot ako dahil pati puso ko nababalutan na ng yelo."
I opened my eyes.
I heard enough. If I hate seeing tears from Jules, I would die hearing raya's cry!
"Why don't you save me her--"
I couldn't properly hear raya's words when out of nowhere, may humawak sa braso ko upang maharap ko siya and the next thing I know is that I felt Jules lips to mine as she force herself to me to kiss her back and out of shock, I pushed her away.
'What the hell?!'
"Anong ginagawa mo jules---" before I could continue Jules said something that made me regret not telling her the truth.
"Sinasagot na kita hero."
Kasabay ng kanyang masayang anunsiyo ay siyang nasaksihan ni raya.
Fucking hell. I wish I could tell Jules the truth sooner because right now, Hindi si Jules ang kinatatakotan kong mawala.
