10.Little Things

Third person's POV:

The bus ride wasn't as Ji-ah anticipated it would be, Kim Chorong and his friends had to travel in a different bus because they were not in Ji-ah's class, when she entered the bus everyone was already seated, Lee su ho with Kang su jin at the front, Han seojun at the back, so she sat at the far back corner of the bus, her seat parallel to Han seojun's where he was sitting next to Lim ju gyeoung teasing her with a smug face.

"He's finally trying to win her but somebody needs to tell him that he's doing it the wrong way," Ji-ah thought to herself, she put on her headphones blocking out the rest of the world as she spent the rest of the ride sketching doodles and other stuff on her mini sketchbook looking out of the window. She was glad she brought it along with her, it will keep her occupied whenever she'll feel like she isn't needed which she thinks is going to happen a lot on this trip.

They reached their destination after a long ride, and now everyone was unpacking their stuff, Ji-ah was sharing a tent with Su-ah, Ju-,gyeoung, and Su-jin. Su-ah was singing Amor Fati on her mic when Lim ju-gyeoung spoke up "This is my first time sleeping in a tent" "What about you Ji-ah? you must have done this a lot in the states!" Su-ah asked Ji-ah "Ani! it's my first time as well" she replied with a smile. Kang su-jin told them that she did camping a long time ago with Lee su ho's family and this led to the conversation about her friendship with Lee su which is 10 years long and how everyone in school thinks that they are more than friends. Ji-ah noticed the disappointed expression on Lim ju-gyeoung's face, she was sure that Ju gyeoung likes Lee su and he likes her back, there was a lot of awkward tension between them when they all went to watch the baseball game after school. As for Su-jin, Ji-ah is not on good terms with her because of the encounter they had a few days ago.

Ji-ah was visiting the potential locations for her future art studio/cafe, she was going to visit the mall next to look for Han go woon's birthday present when she ran into Kang su-jin, first, she was going to ignore her. She is unsure herself why does she do that every time she finds any acquaintances, she just ignores them as if she never saw them in the first place. It felt easier than to go and start a lame conversation in which after 5 minutes you'll run out of topics to talk about and she just met her a few days ago so she literally didn't have much to say to Kang su jin but then she noticed Su-jin's state and changed her mind, she looked troubled and upset. Her cheek was bruised but she failed horribly at hiding it. "Hi! what a coincidence' Ji-ah started the conversation. "Hi!" Kang su replied with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Ji-ah didn't know what to say else so she directly came to the point 'What happened to your face?" "I should get going I have a maths session," Su-jin said and tried to walk past her but Ji-ah blocked her way, she blurted out of concern, "Did someone hit you? -Su-jin remained silent- It's showing -Ji-ah pointed at her cheek - You don't have to hide it, show it so that whoever is responsible for it gets punished" Ji-ah was failing to keep her anger in check. "You don't know anything, was Lee su not enough of a competition? Why did you have to transfer to this school? You piss me off! "with that said she walked past her, bumping into her shoulder purposely, but Ji-ah didn't mind because she knew how it feels to be physically violated and not being able to ask for help. But she was past that phase of her life long ago, she talked it out and didn't want anybody else to go through that pain. She will help Kang su, she just had to find a way to connect with her.

"Yah! Hwang Ji-ah" Su-ah shouted in her face, bringing her out of her trance, she blinked multiple times and realized that she was staring at kang su and spaced out. "Sorry! what were you saying?' She asked Su-ah. "Why are you always so quiet? Do you have a secret boyfriend? are you missing him? she asked her with excitement. "Why are you holding this?" Ji-ah pointed at the mic in Su-ah's hand to change the topic "This is for fun cuz nobody is going to sleep on this trip!" she said and started singing again.
