Someone plonked the whole friggin' solar system down on my desk!

I've come to the geography class to stash my schoolbag instead of dragging it to lunch with me again. I'm stalling, I know. Usually, I'm too hungry to make the detour, but today I'm really not in the mood to face the boys. I should've grabbed my lunch from the cooler bag this morning or asked Willow to pick it up for me. I guess I could message her and ask, but I don't feel like causing more questions than I'm willing to answer.

She's starting to like the boys; I hope she won't be disappointed when I tell her that I don't want to sit with them today. Well, I guess she could always stay with them without me if she wants to. She is starting to become more relaxed around them, especially with Dex and Jakes.

Oddly, even slightly with Tanner, though she did give him some really strange looks yesterday evening. She was blushing a lot too, but not in the oh-shit-he's-going-to-eat-me way she usually does. I seriously hope she's not crushing on him now. She could easily fall in love with him once she gets to know the real Tanner.

Few people ever get to meet him.

I need her to become Hunter's one true love, heal his heart and stop him from running away from everybody who loves him. Seriously, is that too much to ask? She can't just thunder off track and fall for my cousin.

True, I'd love nothing more than for Tan-Tan to meet a fine girl who actually truly loves the idiot for himself for a change and helps him deal with his demons. That girl is not Willow, though. She is the first girl that Hunny is making a fool of himself over. I've started to see some serious cracks in his resolve. Those cracks need to widen. Willow has a very important mission. She needs to stay on target and finish the job.

We'll deal with Tan later.

Besides, Tan can say and do what he wants, but if he thinks that Hunter is really into Willow, he won't give her any serious consideration. The two of them will never do anything to hurt each other, not on purpose or without care. They don't even beat up on each other anymore the way they used to when they were younger.

Willow will end up hurt if she decides to pursue Tanner because we all think that Hunter really likes her a lot and not just as his mother's goddaughter or as a friend or whatever. Hunter should be encouraged to give it a chance.

I drop my bag and place my hands on either side of the large base of the planet diorama, testing its weight. It's not quite as heavy as I expected, but it's not light either. It is going to be very uncomfortable to carry because there are too many moving parts.

Who the hell decided that plastic planets need to be able to revolve around the sun? Come one!

Lifting the unwieldy burden, I turn and trip over my schoolbag. I manage to right myself by doing a couple of ballet moves and going off course. It would've been fine, but at that exact moment, someone passes me and I don't see her in time. I thought I was alone in the class. I feel the jarring impact, hear a sickening crash, and now all I have in my hand is the sun. I'm not even sure how it got there.

There is something poetic about it, right? The girl with the sun in her hand. It doesn't feel very poetic as I watch the planets escape from their wire pedestals, bouncing, rolling, and scattering in every possible direction. I'm pretty sure that planets aren't supposed to hop around that happily.

Cocky bastards!

I turn to look at the other party involved in this accident, wondering if she also thinks the escaping planets are being arseholes. I'm about to ask her, but the look on her face stops me. She looks convinced that I'm going to punch her.
