Aalia woke up from her sleep and found someone laying next to her. She jumped out of the bed.
"Who are you?" She asked in a high pitch.
She lifted the blanket. It's then she realized.
"Aalia, dumbo you were the one to put Adnaan's T-shirt on the teddy and now look how you scared yourself. Eewwwhhh...that's really gross!"
After freshening up, Aalia was about to go to the living room.
'Aalia don't go. Remember, There is something your mom and dad want to talk about. It's either marriage or studies. So it's better to stay away from them.' She thought.
Aalia turned back.
"Hey, Aali.....What's up? " Aleesha's voice was heard.
'So, here she is. ' Aalia thought.
"Fine? " Aalia said and smiled awkwardly. She walked to the living room.
"Aren't you happy to see me?" Alessha asked.
"Absolutely no. " Aalia said.
"Where's mom and dad? " Aalia asked.
"Out to see some relatives. I don't know who it is." Aleesha said.
Aalia sat on the couch listening to Aleesha's talks. It's then the doorbell rang.
"I will check. " Aalia stood up and walked towards the main door. She opened the door and found Afna di.
'What's she doing here now? ' Aalia thought.
"Assalamualikum." Afna greeted.
(Assalamualikum is a traditional greeting among Muslims)
"Waalaikkum assalam. " Aalia greeted her back.
(Waalaikkum assalam is response for Assalamualikum among Muslims)
"Aali... Who is on the door? Is it Afna? " Aleesha asked.
'So..Is it already planned?' Aalia thought.
"Yah" Aalia answered.
Aalia followed Afna into the living room.
As Afna sat on the couch, Aalia thought of escaping the scene.
"Aalia, sit here." Aleesha said.
Aalia sat in between them.
"By the way, why are you guys here?" Aalia asked.
"Ooh.. We have some shopping to be done. So when our parents return, we will go shopping. " Aleesha said.
Aalia gave them an awkward smile. They started talking. The topics they spoke about were unfamiliar to her. It really didn't make any sense to her. At a sudden there was a change in topic. Adnaan became the topic.
