He has many islands to take care of in the New World, and if he were to leave, then Kaido or Big Mom would take over his territory.
The Jolly Roger was getting blown by the wind, waving.
Luffy and Ace were asleep, since it's around 1 in the morning.
You wrote a note down because you didn't want to wake them up.

"Benn! I'm surprised that Shanks sent you here!"
"Ah, (Y/n) it's nice to see you again. It's been a while."
"Yeah, how's everyone been?"
"Pretty good.. although Shanks got a bad habit of drinking now, including the crew. They party every day."
"I'm guessing that you're the one who watched over them right?"

"Well, I'll be in the ship soon, and I won't be drinking anytime soon! Even if I'm old enough to."
"Let's get going then, we don't want to keep the crew waiting for too long."

"I..I found a note she left earlier, she made us separate ones."
