Chapter 11

-Isabella Di Luca-

For the first time, I woke up without any nightmares or bad memories plaguing my mind. I didn't wake up crying, scared, and out of breath; instead, I woke up feeling refreshed, happy, and excited to start the day.

Because it's my first day at home with my family.

I rubbed my eyes, trying to get the sleep out of my eyes, before stretching my arms in the air as my eyes once again looked at everything that surrounds me in awe. I could still never get used to having this large, pink princess-like room as my own bedroom. It's so bright. Even if it is nighttime, the room is never dark, for which I am really, really thankful. Enzo must have figured out that I'm afraid of the dark. He installed plenty of adorable fairy lights and a star projector, which he said I could turn on when it got dark. It's just so perfect.

As I finished getting myself ready for the day, dressed up in a simple baggy white knit sweater and black leggings, I was still not comfortable showing any of my bruised skin in front of my brothers. I also had my hair in a messy bun. I opened my door and tried to recall where the staircase was so I could go downstairs and find the kitchen. I want to be able to thank my brothers for everything they've done for me by cooking breakfast for them. I know it's not enough; nothing I do will be enough for everything they have given me, but hopefully they will still like my food.

But as I opened the door, I was instantly greeted by Luigi the butler, who already had a kind smile on his face as he saw me.

"Buongiorno, Signorina Isabella."

I guess that means good morning.

I flashed him a soft smile and also said good morning, trying to copy what he just told me but failing miserably at the same time. My face was all red, but the kind old man only smiled at me.

"Don Lorenzo asked me to escort you to the dining room so that you can eat breakfast together; Signor Gio is already there as well." He told me.

Oh no. They had already cooked breakfast. Well, there goes my plan. It's my fault for waking up late. Tomorrow, I'll be sure to wake up extra early. If I am to live here permanently with my brothers, I need to make sure that I try to be a good girl and not burden them as much.

I thanked him, and he started to lead me to the dining room. Sure enough, my brothers are already sitting around the large, fancy table filled with different yummy-looking breakfast foods that I have never tried in my life. I could literally smell all of the yumminess, making my tummy let out a noise. This quickly caught the attention of my brothers. Oops.

"Buongiorno, principessa!" Enzo quickly got up to his seat, which was at the head of the table, walking towards me and giving me his bear hug, making me laugh softly and hug him as well, relishing the comfortable and warm feeling of my big brother's hug.

He let go of me with one last kiss on top of my head. And I was once again engulfed in a bear-like hug, this time by my third-oldest brother.

"Ciao, tesoro. Did you sleep well, hm?" He asked while softly stroking my hair. I only nodded my head and flashed him a smile.

"Molto bene (Very good)."

"Come here, Izzy, sit next to me. I had our chef cook all possible breakfast foods since we don't know exactly what's your favourite." Enzo instructed as he sat back in his seat. I also excitedly sat on his right side as soon as Gio let go of me. He soon proceeded to take the seat next to me.

Wow!

It's like a feast! There are so many yummy foods, it's almost impossible to choose!

But my eyes suddenly noticed the two empty plates and seats in front of me and Gio. This reminded me that I also have two other brothers, one of whom I have yet to meet and the other of whom dislikes me for some reason.
