Analysis

The mountains sunk into the pits
The earth crumbled to its bits

The moon on fire, the sun gone cold
The ground beneath me starts to fold

Fire and ice, with fear, conflate
I watched the ocean evaporate

And yet amidst the most calamitous
Through broken mirrors was the analysis

For even as the world would transcend
We judged ourselves until the end. -AA.KAT

🎈8. What style of poetry/writing do you write normally?

Rhyming. Mostly ABCB formal, but I do some other rhyeme schemes too.

🎈9. What is your favourite poem you've ever written and what inspired it or is the story behind it?

I'm not sure I could pick just one favourite, but I'll say my poem "Bound" :

"They say that words can't hurt you,
Well, they haven't got a clue.
How can I still love somebody,
And yet hate the things they do?

Somehow as it gets worse,
Things get blurrier, and yet clearer,
As I slowly wait upon the day,
That you look into the mirror

And see that what you ask of me,
Is a little far beyond myself.
And see that what you hate in me,
Is just what you see inside yourself.

I know that all you fear in me,
Is what you fear I've learnt from you.
Think you turned out the way you did
Cause' no one told you what to do.

But I do not wish to live your dreams,
Nor achieve your greatest goal.
For you cannot pave a path for me,
That goes against my soul.

The wings that you have given me,
I have found me feeling bound,
As they've grown to be too heavy,
To ever lift above the ground." -AA.KAT

Most of my poems do tend to be inspired off a personal scenario in my life. Sometimes if I'm following a prompt, like in Versification, I won't do this. My point is, the inspiration for this poem is very much in the poem. I- the poet, feeling pressured by the expectations of my peers. In short.
