Analyze

Strolling softly in my fast paced surrounding,
I pause to analyze,
The different dimensions of my personality,
Hunting the answer for, truly who am I?
Only to Infer, I am so hard to comprehend,
Each time different reactions to same trend,
Until I give up trying to fit me in any mould ,
Embracing each form of my soul,
Complicated yet simple, not here to conform,
Analysis failed, aplomb restored.

Hello Aesthetes!

Here we have with us stopperbuns one of our day winners of the following day:

🔺️ Day 8: Legendary
🔺️ Day 13: Analysis
🔺️ Day 21: Overwhelmed
🔺️ Day 22: Society
of versification 2023.

🎈1. What was your favourite prompt in Versification?

It was probably "Pawn", though I liked many.

🎈2. Share with us your favourite poem/entry you wrote for versification.

Under the pale crescent moon,
Shone like silvery claw in the sky,
Sprawled across this meadow,
Is how I typify mellow ;
Reaching out empryean so high,
I inadvertently touched a butterfly;
It's wings plunged, turned ugly as worm,
The meadows turned muddy,
All once pure, now grungy;
"I aver I wasn't at fault."

🎈3. What are three words that you'd describe your writing?

Pensive, emotional, relatable.

🎈4. What is the inspiration behind your poetry/writing?

It's mostly based on how I am feeling at times, what truly inspires me to write is different based on my emotions. It can just be a soft gust of wind or overwhelming anxiety, that made me randomly give a form of ink to my thoughts.

🎈5. Do you have a favourite Poet or Poetress?

I haven't read much poets'work but I'd name one poet who inspired me a lot as a child, "Harivansh Rai Bacchan".

🎈6. What was your favourite part of Versification?

I honestly I enjoyed every single day of it and it helped me get more productive,
But the most favourite part was getting to know a lot of good individuals and talented poets who were all very supportive.

🎈7. If you could meet one poet, dead or alive, who would it be?

It would probably be "kabirdas".

🎈8. What style of poetry/writing do you write normally?

Freeverse.

🎈9. What is your favourite poem you've ever written and what inspired it or is the story behind it?

I have a quite few poems I like to go back to, at times that provide me comfort when needed. As said the inspiration behind my poetries are mostly my own emotions, so those are also inspired by what I was feeling at the moment.

One of them is a poem I wrote about having the feeling of "not living" but not wanting to be dead at the same time.

🎈10. Anything you'd like to add or say?

Thank you so much for this interview.
I have just started my poet journey and I know I have a very long way to go, before saying I know what I am doing.
I am thankful to all those who read and supported me throughout this contest, it wouldn't have been beautiful without you all.

Thank you stopperbuns! Do check out their winning entry Poetry of A Soul and shower them with lots of love.
