Forbid

Screams of pain echoed in the dead room,

That shivering voice disappeared in the gloom.

Eyes gleamed tears because of torture,

Vanished the respect of her.

The sinner enjoyed the Vicious act,

His heart felt tranquil more as he attacked.

He seized everything off her system,
And she roamed with a tag of rape victim.

Hello Aesthetes!

Here we have with us one of our day winners Rising-Queen of the following day:

🔺 Day 12 Seize
🔺 Day 18 Forbid
of versification 2023.

🎈1. What was your favourite prompt in Versification?

Construct.

🎈2. Share with us your favourite poem/entry you wrote for versification.

I see my mom by the bedside,
She keeps calling my name,
Scared, I roll up in a blanket and hide.
Last night, in my dreams she indeed came
She smiled, came closer and caressed me.
She said she is not suffering and carefree,
Everything felt real.
Until, Dad said it was my Vision,
That's when my world came into Collision.

🎈3. What are three words that you'd describe your writing?

It would be complicated, deep and relatable.

🎈4. What is the inspiration behind your poetry/writing?

Out of blue I made up my mind to give words to my Undescribed feelings. That was the moment I grabbed A pen and paper and started Writing.

🎈5. Do you have a favourite Poet or Poetress?

Emily Dickinson, she's my favourite so far. I love poems by Ruskin Bond too, they are simple and elegant and conveys the messages to readers easily.

🎈6. What was your favourite part of Versification?

Making Friends. It never felt like a competition where everyone wanted to Win, but rather felt like a club where everyone was supportive with a motto "Let's rise together".

🎈7. If you could meet one poet, dead or alive, who would it be?

Robert Frost or Ravindra Nath tagore.

🎈8. What style of poetry/writing do you write normally?

Lyric poetry or Narrative poetry.

🎈9. What is your favourite poem you've ever written and what inspired it or is the story behind it?

I wrote this poem titled "Be a tree":

Back in high school, I used to get bullied by some mean girls.
I hardly focused on what maths sir was teaching, my wind wandered,
How similar our life is with tree.
And made something out of it.
Writing that poem I also got the courage to stand strong like a tree during disasters and bravely confronted those chicks.

🎈10. Anything you'd like to add or say?

I had a lot of fun participating in Versification and look forward to Participate more in contests held by WattpadPoetry.

Thank you Rising-Queen ! Do check out their winning entry The Scent of Verses and shower them with lots of love.
