"What did you give the girl ? " Aaron asks me . " I gave her a candy " I smile up to him . He smiles down at me " You're so sweet " . He pulls me in for a side hug . Just then a small ball of dirty fur scurries into Aaron . He turns around and takes a look . It's a dog ! Strange looking fella but it's cute . The dog jumps up onto his legs , sniffing his blazer . " Its looking for something " , I say . He crouches down and pulls a Danish out of his pocket " he's looking for this " , he smiles and feeds it to the starving dog . The dog licks his hand and it's tail is wagging hard . Panting softly his tounge sticking out on the side . The dog keeps putting it's snout into jacket and Aaron laughs I haven't seen him laugh in a long time it's was nice to hear it again . We hear something snap and gasp . He gets up

" Hey you there ! " he shouts . I'm following close behind with my sniper ready to shoot . He nearly collapses and so do I . It's Juliette ! She's standing there panicked and then dissapears ? Aaron shakes his head trying to make sense of what happend . Am I going crazy ?

We are back at headquarters and I sneak around with a ball of fur hidden in my clothing . I pass my father's quarters tip-toe style luckily I'm not wearing heels . I blow out a relived breath I run with the dog to my room looking behind me until I bump into what I assume is a wall until I turn around . It's Xander , I'm blushing through my hairline.  He's much taller than me . I haven't seen him up close . He has strong facial features a strong jaw line eyelashes I would kill for and full lips - " My apologies madam Warner " I rip my eyes away from his lips and meet his eyes . " Oh don't worry about it , I'm sorry for not looking " I chuckle nervously . The dog is getting uneasy in my arms . " Is everything okay ? " he smiles tilting his head and a few of his soft curls falling out if place . " Mhm " I say hearing Andersons deep voice from a distance and the atmosphere changing , and before I can run Anderson catches me .

" Clara " he says walking up to me .
" Yes ? " , I say
" Why aren't you at central intelligence ? I've been looking for you , but I see you are fooling around just like I thought you obviously can't manage a leadership position- "
" I've been i my quarters perfectly since I started thank you very much , and I was on patrol " I interrupt him
" What were you doing on patrol Clara ? "
" I was looking for evidence "
" Oh well , since you weren't available when I was at your quarters I showed myself inside and I see you found the girl "
The blood is draining from my face and I'm pretty sure I might faint , I haven't even told Aaron . He's going to kill me
" You have nothing to say Clara ? "
" I wanted to be 100 % sure , a Warner doesn't make mistakes " I say trying to stand my ground even though I have mentally puked all over the place
" As do Andersons Clara don't forget I'm your father , I must say I am disappointed in you my girl not even telling me what you found "
" I might be your offspring by blood but you are nothing to me " I say through grinding teeth
The dog is getting more restless in my coat and jumps out running on the slippery marble floors . It's going ballistic barking at Anderson and showing it's tiny frail teeth . It bites onto his trousers tugging at it viciously shaking it's head . Anderson looks down in disgust kicking the tiny dog into a corner . And pointing a gun at the dog I'm seeing red and I jump in front of the dog shielding it's still body  . " Is this your mutt Clara ! " he then points the gun at me his eyes shaking in fury and I try I try so hard but tears stream down my face making my face wet . And I tremble shaking with sobs choking on thin air hyperventilating,  choking on the salty tears flowing into my mouth because this is it my father is going to kill me I never thought he'd actually go through with it , but this man has no heart and in a split second I see 6 year old me on my knees choking on thin air  begging my father for mercy to spare my life and Aaron shielding me telling me to stay calm because I'm safe as long as he is here but he is not here right now and I can't breathe anymore " Please ! " I shout my voice hoarse . Choking again "please " . I whisper
