"Make sure not to move your arm too much, it's still injured."

"Alright... Thank you." Y/N mumbled, staring at the ground as the woman named Shoko helped heal her by using some sort for cursed technique to do it.

No problem." She shrugged when she finished wrapping her arm up. She had healed Fushiguro from his head wound and checked Nobara for anything more than bruising so it was safe to say that everyone was okay.

"Okay, we're ready to train now. Then we'll take a thirty minute break. C'mon L/N." Maki stated as the rest of them went right back to the training field.

Even with that fact that everyone would be okay Y/N couldn't help but think about it.

The whole thing was strange because what were those Kyoto students even here for?

"L/N?" Maki called, tilting her head when she didn't respond.

Nobara, Inumaki, Panda and Fushiguro stopped walking, watching as Maki waved her hand in front of Y/N's face. She tried to get her attention but to no avail until she snapped her fingers.

"... Oh sorry, what were you saying?" Y/N yawned out.

"I didn't say anything, I was just calling you and you were staring off... You good?" Maki asked. Y/N just nodded her head before going right back to her daze.

"Don't worry about her, she's probably tired." Shoko added before standing up.

"Alright, you should all be good to go." Shoko pulled out a cigarette before grabbing a lighter from her pocket. Panda thanked her, bowing his head and Inumaki and Nobara joined in.

Huh, Y/N didn't meet too many people that smoked, except for her grandma's friend. She's heard that it can calm people down because of the nicotine, maybe she'll try it cause she's so stressed out and exhausted.

"Welp, we'll train! Then after we can all go shopping!" Nobara stated in confidence, wanting to get today over already.

"You think that everyone wants to go shopping with you?"

"Yeah, shopping's fun for regular social people Fushiguro." Nobara remarked sarcastically.

"Give me a break-"

"Why do you have to be such an annoying emo?! So what if I want to shop!? Why's that such a big deal to you huh?!"

"I'm not annoying so shut up! And can you stop calling me emo?!" Fushiguro complained.

"Fine, I'll just take Y/N with me!"

Y/N barely listened as she sat on one of the bleachers that she was on. Y/N honestly didn't have the energy to listen when she was so wrapped up in thought. She couldn't help but think back to what Maki's sister had said to her.

She knows she shouldn't take it to heart, after all, the girl seemed like she would be quick to throw anyone under the bus. She knew she shouldn't take anything that someone like that said with a grain of salt.

Yet, she kept thinking back to it.

"Hey L/N?" Maki called again, quieter this time so that she could actually have a talk with her. Maki didn't mind helping even if it was kind of pathetic. Although, Maki heard what her sister said so she knew it hurt.

First it was just curses and nightmares occupying her brain, then it was regret from letting Yuji die and now it was this annoying, stupid teenager. But it's not like Mai was wrong. But even if she was right, why would she say something like that?

"L/N?" Maki gently elbowed her shoulder, hoping to get some sort of response before she lost her patience.

'How does it feel to know that people will die to protect you at the snap of your fingers?'
