It was late in the afternoon, and I had just finished an intense dance practice, staying behind to perfect my steps.
As I went through the entire dance for the last time, as I ended it, my eyes met a familiar pair of eyes from the mirror.
Aiden was there, leaning on the door frame of the studio door.
His presence was suffocating, his eyes possessive and calculating as he watched my every move. My heart sank when I saw him, memories of his controlling behavior flooding back—the anger, the manipulation, the fear.
Ignoring his leering comments, I hastily gathered my things, desperate to escape his presence.
But Aiden, always the aggressor, reached out and grabbed my arm, his touch sending a shiver down my spine. "Why'd you stop dancing, babe? I missed watching you," he sneered, oblivious to my discomfort.
"Let go of me, Aiden," I demanded, my voice firm despite the tremor in my tone.
Aidens' smile was predatory. "Come on, don't be like that. We had fun before, remember?"
My eyes brimmed with tears, but I refused to let him see her vulnerable. With a forceful jerk, I wrenched my arm away and fled, heading to the field.
