Yan Tuo rested in the villa for a day. On the morning of the third day, he drove to the farm.

Before leaving, he hesitated for a long time, but ultimately decided to leave Chen Fu's body behind. He couldn't keep carrying this bomb back and forth, especially not to the farm. He took the keys with him and entrusted the utility room to Lin Ling, telling her there were some things in there that shouldn't be seen and to be careful not to let anyone in.

This decision gave him some peace of mind, but also left him uneasy. He trusted that Lin Ling would do her best to follow his instructions, but he worried that if there was an emergency, she might not be able to stop it.

So, throughout the journey, his heart was on edge. This was the biggest disadvantage of fighting alone – without reliable and powerful assistance, he felt constrained at every turn, unable to multitask.

As he neared the farm, he received a call from Liu Changxi. Initially, he thought it was news that Nie Jiuluo had finally woken up. Previously, she had briefly regained consciousness, said a few words to Liu Changxi, and then fallen asleep again.

However, it wasn't. Liu Changxi just informed him that they had found a suitable nanny for Nie Jiuluo.

At first, Yan Tuo thought it sounded good, but upon closer inspection, he was speechless. "Is this a maternity nurse?"

Liu Changxi replied, "Yes, the agency said she's the most suitable."

Was this suitable in dreams?

Yan Tuo couldn't help but laugh and cry, "Giving birth is completely different from being injured."

Liu Changxi explained that in small towns, they don't distinguish so finely. They're either purely for household hygiene or more like hospital nurses. This one only took care of personal hygiene without cooking, so she was the most suitable.

Alright, Yan Tuo could only bow to reality and instruct Liu Changxi, "You need to explain clearly to the nanny. Don't overfeed Miss Nie. She can't handle it now, so the diet should be as light as possible."

He remembered when his mother had just given birth to Yan Xin, she would eat several eggs a day, even mixed with sugar and eaten in millet porridge. The sickly sweet taste with the smell of eggs still made him nauseous when he thought about it.

After hanging up the phone, the farm came into view.

Actually, this farm was 90% an ordinary plantation farm. Most of the people coming in and out were ordinary folks. But because of the underground second floor and a small group of anomalies, to him, it was always a place of unpredictable turbulence, the source of all storms.

Yan Tuo parked his car in the parking lot and headed towards the main building. It was a coincidence that he saw Xiong Hei outside the side gate making a phone call— the underground signal wasn't good, so usually, people had to go above ground to make calls.

Yan Tuo lightened his footsteps and quickened his pace.

Xiong Hei seemed a bit agitated, holding his phone in one hand, leaning against the wall with the other, and holding a cigarette between his fingers. The cigarette was almost burnt to his fingertips.

"Haven't reached them yet? Still haven't reached them? Where the hell are these two bastards?"

This should be referring to Han Guan and Chen Fu.

"Have you contacted the hotel? When did they check out? Damn it..."

As he spoke, he turned to the side. Since he would be discovered anyway, Yan Tuo took the initiative and patted Xiong Hei on the shoulder. "Brother Xiong, don't just focus on making calls. Your cigarette is burning your hand."
