Teen romance + Murder Mystery + Royals + Horses = one heck of a roller coaster!
Lauren's life is normal. The daily routine of wake up, get dressed, go to school, return home, do homework, repeat.
That all changes when a man comes to the house saying...
"For the project: perfect family." Vivi says, exaggerating the 'perfect family'. "Besides, you could use some fun outside of your books."
"What about-" she cut me off.
"This party is the highlight of the year. Everybody comes!!!!! You can invite Seth and your friends if you want." Vivi says.
I sigh giving up, "Fine!!!!!"

"I can't believe you agreed"Seth says as we walk to Lily's dorm. After telling my friends they were all excited and the girls wanted to get ready together. Well... all except for Seth and Will who would rather be alone than around people.
"Neither do I."

Somehow Lily got me into one of the dresses she'd made in her fashion class. It was a black one with one sleeve. Which was perfect because that was the arm that was injured.
Vivi met us outside the dorm house.
The party was located in the woods a few miles away from the dorms. I was so glad when I decided to wear sneakers instead of heals like Lily wanted me to. She did get me to do my hair though, into a braided bun.

Lily wore a dress she made herself as well, which was white.
The party took about 15-20 minutes to get to. Kids were everywhere moving to the music that came from speakers that hung from the trees, lights shone in dark blues, greens, and purple's from the branches.

A bonfire sat in the middle of the clearing, surprisingly no one was roasting the marshmallows that sat on a table, in heaps.
Soon everyone had departed, Lily had even dragged Will away to talk to some of her friends. Now it was only me, Clair, and Seth. Vivi had even gone off to find her friends to say hi.
For an outdoor party all the girls were wearing dresses like the girls said they would, and the boys didn't look too bad themselves. Prolly due to the rich part of it...
"Lauren" Ryan walks up to me. "Long time no see."
"Where's your friends?"I ask. It felt like they were always together.
"Probably stealing a few kisses on the dance floor." Ryan says. "Bonnie was dragging Jacob away in seconds."
"Who away?" Bonnie walks up. She wore a purple dress, which matched her eye shadow.

"Jacob, where did he go?" Ryan asks.
"He went to get drinks and never came back..." Bonnie says. "I thought he might be with you."
I looked to Claire, her face blank as usual.
"What's with the long faces?"I turn to see Luke walk up. Aren, Maxwell, and Ben behind him. I hadn't actually ever spoke to Max yet, but from all the rumors that go around school he seemed to be a care free kinda kid.
Then in the corner of my eye I could have sworn I saw Ryan's smile falter. "Just talking."
"Doesn't seem very fun." He says and turns to Ryan, "where's your number three?"
"Why do you care?"Bonnie sounded defensive. I never heard her like that.
"Feisty." Luke's smirk is as wide as ever.
Before she or her brother could give a comeback Jacob runs up, "have you both seen Nyx?" He looked terrified.
"No..."Bonnie says.
Jacob's eyes glance to Claire as he runs off without another word.
