Charles Pov and Drivers Pov :

After concluding the celebration on the podium, we made our way back to the conference room for our interview. Max and Lando engaged in conversation while I walked alongside them in silence. Along the way, we encountered Jennifer, a girl who never fails to evoke a sense of jealousy within me, despite the fact that she isn't even mine."

"Hey Jennifer!" Lando called out her name and quickened his pace towards her. As I shifted my gaze to the man engaging in conversation with her, I realized it wasn't Seb anymore; it was Lewis Hamilton who had brought her here.

"Hey guys," she greeted us warmly, her smile lighting up her face. Max promptly embraced Lewis with a brief hug and back pats. Then, Lewis turned his attention to me.

"Congrats on P2," Lewis said, giving me a quick hug, which I returned in kind.

"Thanks, mate," I replied with a small smile. It was peculiar that Lewis had only managed P6 today. I glanced over at Jennifer, who was engrossed in conversation with Max and Lando. It seemed that Lando had a particularly close relationship with her, as he casually draped his arm over her shoulder, treating her like an old friend. She appeared at ease around him, perhaps because they were around the same age. While they shared laughs over their conversation, I found myself staring at them, especially at Lando, unable to move. I soon realized I wasn't the only one captivated; a quick glance at Max revealed that he, too, was watching them intently.

"Guys, the interview is ready," one of the staff members approached us and announced. We all nodded in agreement and began to make our way.

"I think I should swing by your cafe again sometime," Lando said to Jennifer before joining us.

"Sure, I'll have a special order ready for you," she replied with a chuckle. Lando waved to her before heading off with Max for our media interview.

"How are you getting home?" I asked Jennifer quickly, locking eyes with her.

"Oh, um... I..." Jennifer started to respond, but before she could finish, Lewis interjected.

"Jen, the car's ready," he said, not bothering to look at me, his focus solely on her as he signaled for her to get ready to leave, then walked off to retrieve his phone, leaving us behind.

"Okay," Jennifer swiftly replied to him, then turned to me. "I have to go now. I've finished up with Seb's interview, and I still need to prepare some lecture materials for tomorrow. Plus, I can't leave Adie alone for too long," she said with a small smile, glancing at me. "So, I should head out." With that, she turned towards Lewis's direction. "Thanks for the jacket, I'll return it to you if you ever have time to stop by the cafe," she added before walking off to follow Lewis.

"You can keep it," I called out from behind before she vanished from my sight. She turned back towards me at my words.

"Oh," she paused, glancing down at the jacket I had given her, which she was now wearing. "So, thank you for the jacket, Charles," she added with a soft smile. "Bye." With a quick wave, she hurried away from me. As her figure, clad in my jacket, disappeared from view, I couldn't help but let out a frustrated sigh. It felt like watching my crush with someone else, especially when that someone else seems to be the king of the school while I am just an ordinary student.

With another sigh, I turned towards the conference room for the interview. Max and Lando had already taken their seats. A few minutes later, the interview began. The media bombarded us with questions about our races, the current season, and upcoming ones. They delved into our plans for the future, both on and off the track, seeking our thoughts and insights.
