"Shit I just thought about it I'm going to have to call off today Cherry" I said turning from the front seat of August truck. We were about 46 minutes away from being back to the city.
"Wait why?" She looked up from her phone
"Nai sick af, damn you there with yo friends tonight" I laughed
"Noo your mom or pops can't babysit?" I told her Sade and Trent was my parents so that's who she was referring to
"Nope!" I said getting ready to text Nate to let him know. I did need the money, just to stack back up to what I was at before getting the house, paying for the trip and everything else but shit what could I do no babysitter.
"Why yeen ask me huh?" August said stopping at the red light right before the highway entrance
*Beeep Beeeep*looking on the side of us Teke had pulled up so August rolled the window down
"Yooo you want in on this 5K?" he hit the gas letting me know he wanted to race
"Bitch you alr-" August started
"Hell No August the baby in here" Crystal said to him rolling her eyes at him
"You didn't let me finish best, I was about to say you already ...know the baby in hea I can't" he said
"Puss just don't want to lose that money" Teke said
By now the light turned green and cars behind started blowing their horns at August and Teke, now Zu was behind Teke and Chris was behind August.
"I know these bitch ain't" Teke said
"Gots me fucked up, I know that" August yelled
When neither of them pulled of by the time the light turned yellow my mouth fell open
"Oh I like y'all cause who they beeping at even though I would've but don't fucking beep at me" Cherry said
The light had turned back to red and August was laughing along with his crazy cousin. When the light finally turned green they both gave each other a look
"Oh fuck no, Go August!" I laughed he smacked his lip and took off "Childish asses" Crystal said
The guys really took off racing leaving us behind, August looked a little sad about not being able to race them "I'm sorry pa" I said tryin to hold my laugh in
He looked over at me from the side of his eye before turning the music up, Seeing him crack a smile had me dying laughing.

By the time we made it back it was already going on 7. I was headed to my crib first so that I can get some clothes to spend the night at Ja house. I would feel mo' comfortable watching Kyla there. Chay and Kay was going with Zu to my mama house for dinner, Once Mya heard I was keeping Kyla she decided to go with me. A nigga ain't go lie I was hella happy hearing that.
