One afternoon pag uwi ko...
“Hija, don’t come inside yet!”
“Bakit po?” nagtataka naman ako. Bakit ayaw akong papasukin ni daddy? Papasok na sana ako pero hinarangan nya ako sa pinto. Pasaway no? Sabi nga wag muna papasok eh.
“Close your eyes.”
“Huh?” Napataas yung kilay ko. Weird, daddy is trying to surprise me with something.
“Wait. Open your eyes pala muna. Tapos akyat ka sa second floor, then, close your eyes.”
“Huh?” But I’m, one step ahead of him.
“Dali na. You’re ruining the surprise.”
“Sige na nga.” Alam ko na to. Pero I’ll just go with the flow. I don’t want to disappoint him with my stubbornness. Edi, umakyat na nga kami sa second floor at pinikit ko na mata ko. Lakad ng konti papunta sa dulo ng hall.
“Surprise!”
I knew it! It’s the studio. Kahit di ako magkunwari. I’m really really happy! Ako nagpumilit dito sa studio ko eh. Yehey!!!! “Thanks daddy! Finally!” I hugged him.
“I knew you’d be very happy... After...” he counted on his fingers “3 weeks ng pangungulit mo sakin, ayan na.” He was smiling while he’s mocking me.
Sobrang ngiti ko, from ear to ear, literally! “Wow! Daddy! Level up ka ha! Talagang lahat ng ni-request ko binigay mo.”
“Syempre. Only the best for my unica hija.”
“Alright, I’ll be in the garage if you need me.”
Pumasok ako sa studio. Wow! *o* Talaga namang lahat ng ni-request ko. Soundproof walls, bagong amplifiers, bass, guitar, mic, mic stand at drumset. Panalo may couch pa para mag-chill. Yeah-bah! I’ll text them. We have to try this out!

After a while, dumating na nga sila. Kasama pa ni Ava si Led. Para silang ako nung nakita nila yung studio, *o* awestruck.
“Amazing! Wala na tayo sa garage nina Nate!” Sabi ni Eli. In fairness, di sya late.
“Nate, check this out! I’m sure you’ll love playing with these hot babies.” Tinuro ko sya sa drumset. Pearl drums + Zildjian cymbals = FTW! Grabe, muntik ko nang ipagyabang. Pero ang ganda kasi. Tulo laway ko. So ayun na nga, jamming! At dahil kasama namin si Led, kakanta kami! Whee!
