(I love AU's.)

Natasha props open the window on the side of the HYDRA base she's infiltrating, using the darkness of the night as a cover as she slips in and lands soundlessly on the ground. A flash of black makes her turn, guns at the ready, but no ones there and she squints. Then she remembers the night vision goggles and tugs them on, focusing on any heat signatures but sees that no ones here.

Must've been a false alarm, she thinks, tucking away her guns.

Back to the mission. Natasha's found the room where the cargo she's supposed to steal is being held, but when she enters, there's nothing there.

"They must've given me the wrong-"

"Sh!"

Natasha immediately reaches for her guns, but hands shoot out and catch her wrists.

"Stop talking or we'll both get out heads severed."

Natasha yanks her wrists from the women's grasp and backs away, drawing her guns anyways and aims them at her.

"Who are you?" She demands, and the women flinches and looks at the door.

A second later, heavy footsteps pound the ground and the women scoffs.

"Great job on setting off the alarm,"

Natasha focuses the goggles and blinks. She's not that bad looking, Natasha thinks. But she's quick to shake her head because she's on a mission and there are HYDRA solider's heading this way and wait-

"I didn't set any alarms off," Natasha whispers fiercely, glaring at the women as she scans the room. "And who the hell are you?"

She snorts. "Now you ask me? Never mind. My names (Y/n). Oh, and if you don't want to die, follow me."

Natasha sees that she's found another exit and begins weighting her options. Go with this (Y/n) women, not knowing if she's really HYDRA or not, or stay here and fight through a mass of HYDRA solider's.

"You coming?"

With a sigh, Natasha follows after her and after a moment, she asks, "Where are we going?"

(Y/n) digs around in her pocket, holding up a package and waves it. "We are going to escape. You are going to take this to SHIELD as a gift, and I am going to disappear."

"So you're some freelancer SHIELD agent?"

She pauses and so does Natasha. "There," (Y/n) points at a door. "That's your exit. And in advance, sorry about this."

Natasha instinctively crouches down and covers her head once she's seen the small box you pulled out of your pocket. A good thing too, because she would've gone blind if she hadn't protected herself from the blinding light emitting from the box.

"See you soon!" (Y/n) shouts, then, just like she had said, disappears.
