Louis' POV

“We need you to break up with (Y/N).” Those were the eight words I had hoped I’d never hear from management. They’d been great with our relationship so far, why the sudden change?

“Sorry. No can do, boss.”

“Louis, that wasn’t a choice. It was an order. Girls just don’t seem to like her and you being single is better for the band image. We were fine with it before, but now it’s time to end things. It’s been long enough.” I stood up fully in front of the desk of the guys that held my entire career in their hands.

“I’ll repeat myself again since you didn’t seem to get it the first time. I’m not breaking up with (Y/N). You can fire me, replace me in the band, or any other stupid things you want to try out, but I’m not leaving her. It’s not happening.” With that I walked out of the office and headed towards the elevator that would take me to the parking garage. I wasn’t about to wait around here any longer and listen to these imbeciles plan out my life. I made it to my car and once I climbed in and shut the door I grasped the steering wheel hard enough for my knuckles to turn white and placed my forehead on them. I can’t believe they actually asked me to break up with one of the main sources of happiness in my life. We’ve been together for two years, now she’s a problem? Who gives shit if the fans don’t like her? She means more to me than words describe and if I’m happy isn’t that all that matters? I wouldn’t even be able to think about performing or going to interviews, anything like that if I didn’t have (Y/N)’s support. Fuck management.

I let out a heavy sigh as I started the car and drove down the street towards my flat. I was with (Y/N) when I got the call to come in for a quick meeting. I figured all the boys would have been there and I begged (Y/N) to tag along with me, but she refused. She wasn’t a fan of management and they kind of scared her. I honestly couldn’t blame her. They scare me at times too.

I turned the key in the lock and walked in closing the door a little harder than I had intended to. I was still a bit on edge after what had happen. My beautiful girl can around the corner out of the kitchen with that gorgeous smile of hers.

“Hi ba-” I didn’t even let her finish her sentence. I crashed my lips to hers and held the back of her head deepening the kiss immediately. Our lips moving together perfectly, like they always do. I dove my tongue into her mouth without even asking for permission. I just needed her right now. To feel her and show her how much she means to me. I put my hands under her bum hinting to her that I wanted her smooth legs wrapped around my torso. She knew me so well, that moment she jumped up and locked her ankles on my lower back. I started walking towards the living room and laid her on the couch gently, breaking the kiss in the process. I looked down at her lovingly, just admiring everything about her. Her beautiful hair laid out on the cushion, her beautiful eyes staring up at me in a bit of confusion, her lips that were the perfect shade of bright pink, and her adorable nose. I smiled slightly brushing a piece of hair out of her face and wrapping it around the back of her ear.

“Louis? Are you okay?” I caressed her cheek with my thumb and leaned down to kiss her forehead, nose, both cheeks, and finally her lips. She pulled away, to my dismay, and looked up at me with a worried expression on her face. She brought her tiny hands up and placed each one on the sides of my face.

“”If there’s something wrong you can tell me. What you have to say and what’s going on in that head of yours,” she said pulling my forehead down to hers, “means the world to me and I want to help if I can.” God, she’s so perfect. How did I ever get so lucky? Sighing in defeat, I broke down and began telling her about my meeting with management, not leaving out a single detail. She didn’t say a word the whole time, only nodded and resituated herself on the couch if she was uncomfortable. Once I got down telling her everything that happened I stared at her waiting for her reply, which didn’t come as quickly as I would’ve liked.

“Please. Say something.”

“Maybe we should break up.” My eyes widened in shock.

“W-What?”

“Maybe we should do what they want, Louis.”

“How can you say that?”

“This is your career, your dream, your life babe. I can’t be the one that ruins it all for you. I can’t live with that on my shoulders.” She said standing up from the couch and walking towards the bedroom. I got up quickly and grabbed her by the wrist spinning her around to face me.

“You are my life! You’re all that matters!” She looked up from the ground at my words, tears evident in her eyes. She opened her mouth to say something, but I cut her off.

“You mean absolutely everything to me. You mean more than my career, more than my friendship with the lads, more than anything. I love you so much that there are no words to describe it. It physically hurts me to even think about not having you or you being in someone else’s arms.” She was full on crying at this point. I pulled her into my chest and embraced her with everything I had. Placing my hand on the back of her head and my mouth by her ear. I whispered, “ I love you so much. I can’t live without you. Please. Please, don’t leave me.” She nodded her head and cuddled her face into my neck, placing a simple kiss to it. I brought her back over to the couch and held her for several hours, rocking her gently back and forth and telling her how much she means to me and how much I love her. She pulled her face from the crook of my neck and placed her forehead on mine and both hands came up to my cheeks like earlier.

“Thank you. Thank you for loving me as much as I love you.”
