Chapter 13

Vanessa's POV

"Kevin?"
"Hi Dr.Fletcher"
"Hello. Everything ok? The next appointment was next week no?"
I squeezed Kev's hands a little tighter than I already was.

"We think we know what the problem is Dr.Fletcher", Kev said.

I serious expression took over his face and he asked us to sit down.

Kev glanced over at me, and pressed his forehead to mine, and I whispered, "We'll get through this".

I then began explaining to the doctor how my father in law passed away from Colon Cancer when Kevin was around 20. And I explained the symptoms, how they matched and everything in between. 

By the time I finished Kev and I both had tears in our eyes. 

"I'll have a PET scan arranged for you, Its not the end of the world ok? Once we determine what stage you're on. We can treat you then. Ok? You'll probably want the most urgent date?"

"Yes"

"I'll see what I can do, Maximum I can arrange it in a day or two"

"Thank you"
