Ace's Pov

Chris had a weapon. He got closer to Anna with it in his hands.

Oooh. I really want to beat Chris up. He's always been like this! Ever since I layed eyes on Elizabeth.

"Is Ace speechless? Is Ace scared? Ha. I knew you wouldn't do anything to me. Because I. Am. Your. Friend." Chris said putting the knife away.

Anna ran toward her house. Poor thing. Scared half to death.

As for Chris I wanted to tear him apart. I wasn't scared to just beat him down to the ground.

"Grow up." I said.

"Me? Look at you! You have NOTHING, Ace! I've been there for you for years!" He said.

"What have you done for me, huh?" I said.

"I've been there for you since your father's death! Helping you and your mother out!" Chris said with this wicked smile on his face.

"Don't. You didn't care." I said calming down.

"Really? I didn't care?! Maybe if I ask your mom, would you change your mind?" Chris said.

"Dude! You took Elizabeth from me! Would a true friend do that?!" I said.

"She came to me." He said.

"You let her, man." I said.

"Like you cared for Elizabeth anyway! You got Anna. Or should I say Anna Banana?" He said.

My eyes widened. How did he know I called her that?!

"Shocked?" Chris said.

I shook my head.

"How'd you know that." I mumbled.

"I'm a mind reader, Ace." He said.

"You leave Anna alone. You hear me? Stay away from her!" I said.

"You just don't get it. Do you?" Chris said.

"What?" I said.

"Anna doesn't love you." He said.

"Yes I do." Anna said. She came out of the darkness of the corner.

"True love? Huh?" Chris said.

Anna was crying. She was shaking.

Chris pulled his knife back out and walked toward Anna.

"Don't you touch her." I said.

"What are you going to do about it?" Chris said.

I couldn't move. I was stuck on the floor.

"Nothing?" Chris said.

Anna was crying. Everything was a blur.

Then all I hear is a scream. Anna screams on the top of her lungs as Chris pulls the knife toward her.

"Stop it!" She says.

I move from my spot and I jump ontop of Chris.

"Get off of him!" I heard the dark male's voice of Anna's father! I ignored it as I threw punches toward Chris.

Then I see Chris throw a punch to my face and everything goes black...

*Beep*

......

*Beep*

I open my eyes and I wake up in a hospital bed.

I turn to my right and I see Anna sitting in a chair next to me and she was sleeping beautifully.

I try moving but my whole body was sore.

"What happened?" I mumbled.

"Chris punched you and you went unconscious." I heard Anna say.

I turned to her and her eyes were halfway open and she had a smile on her face.

"How long have we been here?" I asked.

"Since last night. Which this all happened." She said getting up.

"Where's that jerk?" I asked.

"He's in another room." She said.

I look at the clock and it was 4:53pm.

"Are you hungry?" She asked.

"Very." I said.

"Okay. I'll be back." Anna said and she kissed my cheek.

I closed my eyes after she kissed my cheek...

"Anna doesn't love you." He said.

"Yes I do." Anna said. She came out of the darkness of the corner.

Did she really love me?

Was she lying?

"True love? Huh?" Chris said.

Anna came back with a tray of food.

"Thank you." I said.

"No problem." She said and she sat back down in the chair next to me.

"Hey, Anna." I said.

I wanted to know if she really did.

"When you said you-" Someone came into the room.

"Ace, you're okay!" It was Austin.

"Hey!" I said surprised to see my true friend. Followed behind Austin was Joshua.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Feeling alright?" Joshua said.

"Never better." I said.

"Hey Anna." Austin said.

"Hi." She said.

"Is it a bad time?" Joshua said.

"No." I said.

"Okay good." Austin said.

At least I know who my real friends are.
