That One Question

Anna's Pov

I couldn't stop thinking about Elizabeth. I thought she was done for after we saw her in the hospital because we haven't seen Chris in a while either.

I saw my mom in front and I saw Ace.

I ran up to Ace, "Hey.. The whole school knows about our date tonight." I said.

"Yeah. Stuff gets around quick." He said.

"Was it the blonde who started it?" I asked.

"Who Jeniffer Lopez? Yeah I think. She has a big mouth." He said.

"Oh." Should I tell him about Elizabeth...

I'd rather not, I'm not letting some jerk wad to ruin my date with the perfect guy.

"I'll see you later, Ace." I said.

He pulled me into a bear hug, I could hug him all day long..

I walk to my mom's car with everyone staring at me, just like I used to be, that one loser with all those stares, that's how I felt, can't I just be left alone for once? It sucks to know that everyone around you hates you so much, and that they think you don't belong there.

"How was school?" My mom said.

"Exhausting, I wanna go home." I said.

"Is that Ace?" She said driving away.

"Yeah." I said.

"Are you guys dating now?" She said with a smile.

"I don't know, but I do have a date with him tonight." I said.

"You may go! I have a dress for you to wear." She said.

"Mom, I don't know if I should dress fancy or not." I said.

"Fancy is good. Why not?" She said.

"Okay. Fine." I said.

"Alright. Oh my Gosh, baby you're growing up so fast!" She said.

I rolled my eyes and laughed, "Mom, it's one little date."

"I know, but this is exciting!" She said.

We started to pull up and then I saw Austin sitting in our driveway.

"Who is that?!" My mom said.

"My friend..." I said.

I got out, "Austin?"

"Hey. I knew you weren't home so I decided to wait till you came back." He said.

"Oh, why are you here?" I said.

"I came to apologize, Anna I'm so sorry." He said almost about to cry.

"Austin.. Don't cry." I said.

I hugged him, I kept hugging him till he pulled away, it felt like we were standing there for years.

"Do you want to do something tonight..?" He said.

"She can't." My mom said coming into the conversation.

"Oh okay." He said.

"She has a date." My mom kept going.

Austin looked at her, "Oh.."

"With Ace-" She kept going. Really?

"Mom... Can you go inside?" I asked politely.

She walked inside and it left me and Austin outside.

"Ace, huh?" He said.

"Yeah.." I said.

"Have fun." He said walking away.

"Austin," I said.

He turned around.

"Thanks for being a great friend." I smiled and he smiled back and continued to walk away.

I walked inside to my mom hold a black skater dress, and she was holding black high heels.

"Thanks mom. This dress is really pretty!" I said hugging her.

"Careful honey, don't wrinkle it." She said backing up laughing.

"Sorry." I said sarcastically and I grabbed the outfit.

I had the dress on and heels on and stared at myself in my body mirror.

"Anna!" I heard my mother's voice.

Well.. Here goes nothing..

I go downstairs slowly in the high heels, I've never wore heels before, so I didn't want to fall down the stairs, I reached the bottom and I saw Ace Rider, in a suit, he was talking to my mom, I stared while he smiled, his cute smile was beautiful, but then of course the stairs made a noise and he turned his attention to me. His jaw dropped.

"Hey." I said with a smile.

"You look gorgeous.." He said slowly.

I blushed, "Do I really?"

"Of course. You always have." He said.

He took my hand and my mom took pictures of us like we were going to prom.

"Bye mom." I said hugging her.

"So proud of you." She said whispering.

"I love you." I said.

"You too." She said and I pulled away.

I locked hands with Ace again and he took me out to his black jeep.

He opened my door and everything. He wasn't being a jerk like the first impression I had of him. He was being sweet and a gentleman. I loved it, no guy has ever done this for me.

"Ready?" He said starting the car.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I said putting my seatbelt on.

He drove to this really fancy restaurant. It was perfect.

"Ace, this is so sweet.." I said.

He smiled.

"I don't deserve any of this." I said.

"Of course you do." He said parking the car.

"Why. Why me? I'm a loser.." I said.

"No you aren't, to other people you may be, but to me you're something different, I took you on this special date to ask you a very important question," He said turning to me.

I looked at him straight in the eyes and he opened his mouth,

"Will you be my girlfriend?"
