What Now?

Anna's Pov

"What?... I mean I wonder what happened." I said starting to eat my food next to me.

"I could check on her?" Ace said.

I looked at him, "Someone else, you two have a horrible past." I said.

"I'll go." Austin said.

"You sure?" Ace said.

"Yeah, I mean... She was texting me last night..." He said.

"What did she say?" Ace said.

"She asked me if I knew were Anna was."

My eyes widened and I looked at Austin, "Why...?"

"Something about the date you two had... I don't know?" He said shrugging.

Ace had an eyebrow up and scrunched his nose up in confusion.

"I'll go though." Austin said and he got up and left out the door.

Austin's Pov

I just lied and I never lied before. It was for Ace's sake because he doesn't know that I like Anna...

The real reason for Elizabeth texting me was that she wanted to know if I knew they were going on a date. She's trying to get Ace for herself. She told me that she was going to the restroom to do something but I don't know what and something about Chris talking about me...

I asked one of the nurses where her room was.

"Right down the hall there, sir." She said.

I nodded and walked down the hall. I looked at the older couple staring at me while I walked down the hall. I looked away and I was now standing infront of Elizabeth's door. I heard muffled voices and when I made a noise with the door knob I heard "Sh! Someone is coming!"

I opened the door and it was just Elizabeth in the room...

Didn't I just hear someone else in here?

"Hey... Austin?" She said surprised to see me.

"Hey. What happened?" I said looking at her arm and her bruised face.

"Oh it's nothing. How are you?" She said with a smile.

"Nothing? Did someone do this to you?" She said.

"Yeah." She said and she scoot over to the right.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and I looked at her, "Who?"

"A-Ace Rider." She said and she bit her lip.

"Ace did this to you?!" I said.

She nodded.

Was she lying? Wasn't Ace with Anna the whole time??

Then I heard someone drop something on the floor and I see a phone fall.

"Is someone else here?" I said.

"Nah." I said.

I get up and I go to the other side of the bed and I see Chris Peterson on his hands and knees.

"Austin Cooper." He said with a smirk.

"What are you doing on the floor, hiding?" I said.

"Don't worry about that." He said getting up and walking toward me.

I set backwards from him, "What are you doing?"

"Where's Ace Rider?" He said, his eyebrows furrowed in anger.

I'm going to have to lie for Ace's danger, I know Ace didn't do this!

"I don't know!" I said.

Chris chuckled, and he pulled out his pocket knife, when we were true friends he would keep that thing on him all the time.

"I know, you know where he is. Now tell me Austin." He said.

"Did you do this to Elizabeth?" I said.

"Where is Ace!" He said pushing me against the wall.

"How am I supposed to know! I saw the news and brought my butt to see if Elizabeth was okay!" I said.

"So sweet." She said.

Chris turned to her, "He is lying to me!"

I thought of pushing Chris and making a run for it...
