I woke up hearing the ringing of my phone. My eyelashes battled for a few seconds before opening up completely. It took me another few seconds to make sense of where I was.

I'd fallen asleep on the table in my room. I took my phone which was flashing the name Anna. As I attended the call, I shot a glance at the clock.

   11:08 P.M.

Why would she call me at this hour?

   "Hello," I grumbled.

"Chris," she said, a tone of urgency playing out clearly in her voice, "I'm just outside your house. Come down quickly!"

   "Wait, wha-"

The line went dead. I heaved out a sigh. As I got up from the table, my hand came across a sharpened pencil and an eraser. There was a white sheet of paper on the table and a picture had been drawn on it.

I'd been drawing? Since when did I start drawing?

I took a look at the picture. It was an accident scene that I'd drawn. A wrecked car, one side of it appearing to have been hit by a heavy vehicle. A girl was drooping over the smashed driver's side window. Her curly locks were dangling in front of her face, concealing it.

Of course it made no sense to me. The very fact that I'd drawn it made things seem ten times mysterious than it actually would have been. But taking into account the recent events, I guess it was no big deal.

As I rushed downstairs, a ludicrous idea popped up in my mind. That girl in the picture... Did she resemble Anna?

I let out a breath, pushed that thought into the bottom of my brain and opened the door.

A whiff of cool air whipped my face, making me shudder. Anna was standing there in a jacket, with her back turned to me.

"What're you doing here at this hour?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

"We've to go somewhere. I believe, it'll give us some answers," she said as she turned to face me.

   "Couldn't it wait till dawn?"

"I don't think we've got much time," she said, her eyes dropping down to my hand. "And it's not as if you've never ventured out at night before."

"How do you know that?" I asked, a bit surprised that she knew.

"Only earlier this day you told me that you met Seth twice at night," she said with a stern expression on her face.

Right! I've learnt so much in just a day. And she wants more!

"Let me get my flashlight," I said as I ran inside.

"Better put on a fullsleeved T-shirt. The night's a bit chilly," she said, hugging herself.

   I sighed.

Moments later, Anna and I were walking through the road that led to The Old Cemetery.

"Are we going to The Old Cemetery?" I asked her.

"No, there's a cabin a few feet away from it. Nobody ever goes in there, which is not news, but I guess there must be something that would give us some information."

"How do you know about that cabin?"

   "Swit," she said indifferently.

I opened my mouth but she raised a hand and silenced me in advance. "We moved into here the year before. Like you, I'm not a native of this countryside."
