I guess some people are wondering why Talia couldn't have just jumped through the portal in the last chapter, so I'll try to explain it as adequetly as possible.
When Talia enacted the portal, she is literally fighting Regina's will to keep it open.
To conjure up and open a portal is no small thing, and normally the person holding it open cannot go through themselves.
Basically, it seldom happens.
And that is intensified now that she'd fightng Regina's spell/will, which makes it even harder to jump through it herself.
She pushed Peter, Princess Eliza and Prince through a portal WHILE holding it open herself, WHILE fighting Regina's powers.
So, basically, not a small feat.

Also, the sequel should be coming out on March 9, same time OUAT is coming back to the big screen.
I say should, because I may not be able to hold out that long.
