Chapter 4

The sound of stamping feet sounded throughout the house and I initially groaned, throwing the blanket over my head I tried blocking out the noise but it seemed to increase. My bedroom door swung open revealing a half naked Aiden. Looking back at the bed it was empty, of course Jay left. Why would he stay but Aiden still looked frustrated

"Aiden what the hell"

"You are not leaving!" he said through clenched teeth

"How do you know about that?" I stuttered

Aiden shouldn't know I was going to leave today, he knew I was but he didn't know when. Who told him. I told nobody I was leaving, How could he know, I never told a soul, just thinking about it

That's impossible, unless it was the bond between mates

Jay told him. This was supposed to be an easy get away now Jay made it impossible

"Aiden I'm leaving" I stood up and walked over to him

"Abby I need you" he pleaded his eyes turning glassy

"Aiden you knew this day was coming" I attempted to touch his shoulder but pulled away

"Why do you need to leave"

"I don't fit in here and I need time to myself" I sighed stepping away from him

All I wanted was to be accepted. Good enough for my parents, my brother and now Jay. I can't do that if I can't even stand up for myself. I need to grow a backbone and stepping away from all this werewolf atmosphere will bring me peace. My uncle's home will do this, he's what I need to get a break away

"Well at least let me drop you off" Aiden stepped up behind me wrapping me in a hug

"You're only making this worse Aiden" I replied calmly shrugging him off

"But you're leaving and for god knows how long" he turned me around gripping my shoulders

"Aiden stop you're hurting me"

His grip on my shoulders tightened whenever I tried moving and it was beyond painful. I could feel my skin being pierced.  This Aiden scared me and it reminds me of when Jay looks at me with rage filled eyes. It was there animalistic side

"Aiden stop" I shouted prying away from his grip

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Abby" he said reaching out for me but I only flinched away, he stepped back hurt

"Leave Aiden"

He made his way to my door and took one last glance towards me, he was hurt. I turned away quickly and starting packing my bags. If Aiden found out no doubt that my parents knew, saves me time telling them. I reached across my dresser and dialled the taxi service

Everything is just too hard for me right now. A mate. My own personal insecurities. School

I managed to pack all my things in half an hour and was making my way downstairs. My feet stopped in their tracks when my eyes landed on the four people in front me, my parents, Aiden and Jay. My parents had sad smiles that matched Aiden's while Jay's face remained emotionless. His eyes a dark blue his body language stiff and fists clenched and unclenched making it extremely hard to pinpoint how he's feeling. I slowly made my way down the stairs gripping the hand rail on my decent. I stepped off the bottom step and walked towards my parents, tugging them into me I wrapped my arms around the both of them. I could hear my mothers sniffles and my fathers light laughter his chest rising and falling in the process. I pulled back and saw my fathers heart breaking smile

I loved my parents but I was closer to my dad, we had the same personality and over the years if I was down I would just sit in the same room as him and I'd feel better. I embraced him once again and turned to my mother

"Stop crying mum" I teased

"My baby's leaving" she cried pulling me against her small figure

"I'll be back" I smiled kissing her cheek

"We'll talk everyday and trust me if you don't I'll come pick you up" she sobbed wiping her teary eyes

"I love you" I said through teary eyes

I turned away from my mother and stood facing Aiden, I had to look up slightly "I'm going to miss you Aiden" I cried wrapping my arms tightly around him, I heard him groan and then laugh, I stepped back confused

"What?" I asked scrunching my eyebrows together

"That was sore" he rubbed his ribs smiling down at me

"Good" I teased, when I looked away briefly I saw Jay and his expression never faded

I slowly made my way to Jay. When I reached him I didn't know what to do and just when I was going to leave he brought his hand underneath my chin and tilted it up so I was looking into those gorgeous blue eyes

"I'll miss you so much Abby and I as much as it kills me to see you leave, I know this is what you want and need for yourself" he said, goosebumps running up and down my arms, he bent down slightly and brought his lips softly against mine but not enough for a kiss, I groaned and he smirked

"Soon my love" he whispered

I blushed when I remembered we had an audience, I turned away sheepishly and grabbed my bags but they were snatched off me and I looked to side and Jay along with Aiden carried them. I smiled at them both and went outside where the taxi was waiting. I called my uncle last week to check and make sure he knew I was coming today and luck was on my side

Jay and Aiden both put my bags in the taxi and I gave my parents one last hug before they had to leave because my mother was crying so much. Looking back at the two boys my heart clenched at the sight of them, they both looked like they were going to vanish, two teary eyed teenage boys looking straight at me with frowns. My heart ached for Aiden but it yearned for Jay, I need to leave now before I never do

"Bye Aiden" he wrapped me in a bone crushing hug and placed his head in the crook of my neck

"Call me when you get there" he said and turned off and walked back to the house

I glanced back at Jay and he stood there looking like a lost puppy, he walked to me pulling me flush against his body. He brought his lips down to mine, his lips moved slowly against my own and if it wasn't for Jay holding me I would have fell to my knee's already. I pulled away hesitantly wanting to leave otherwise I'd never leave him

"I'll call you when I get there" I smiled

"I'll call and text you every morning and night, during the day and hours on end" he smirked

"I bet you will" I laughed, the mood lightening up. He guided me to the back of the cab and I slid in, I left the window down

"I'll see you soon" I smiled placing my hand on his cheek, it was rough with his stubble appearing

"I'll be waiting" he said giving me a gentle kiss on my hand

He pulled away and the cab driver took off. I looked back out the back window and Aiden now stood with Jay both facing me. I waved and they waved back a frown showing. I know what I'm doing to both of them is hard but I really need to find myself and once I do I'm coming back all brand new and nothing will stop me. I'll be a good daughter to my parents, a great sister and a even better mate to Jay. Nothing is going to stop me from being a better person and to make sure they don't do anything stupid while I'm gone I'll need to keep Riley on tab
