Chapter 34

I had left Riley about an hour ago and to my surprise Jay still wasn't back. He had left last night and never came back all because of something I did or maybe what I had done

I've been anxious for the past hour waiting for him to come back and nothing seemed to take longer than his arrival. I needed something to say he was fine anything at all even mindlinking him was useless because he'd blocked me out

Maybe he's been captured and used as bait to lure me out. Screw it let it be like that. I'd give my life for his mine is nothing in comparison to his, he has so much to live for and I've completely screwed mine in less than a few months

"Abby?" the voiced of Riley echoed the small room

I turned to be greeted by an axhausted Riley. His hair gruffily combed back in an effort to look less tired but he still limped on his leg

"Yes?"

"Where's Jay?" Will he be back soon?"

I fell into a slumber at his words. Sure I may or may not be over reacting but a girl has to overthink at some point in her life. Neverless I need to at least know Jay was alright

I sound like I'm going to die at any point oh wait I am

"I don't know" I sighed walking to the bed

I sat down and fell back landing on my back. It was warm down here unlike the cold air up top I needed Jay. Desperately

Maybe I was foolish enough to think I could live happy ever after with Jay with no drama or worries but to be honest I don't know how my life could have played out if we had nothing to worry over

There would be no spark, just living and whats the point in living if you have nothing to live for

"I'm sorry" Riley whispered

"For what?" I scoffed propping up on my elbows

"I don't know, everything maybe" he rolled his eyes

He fell beside me in a heap. Unable to resist I fell back with my legs dangling over the edge of the bed. This year has been the most eventful year of my life and I couldn't be any happier. I know who I can trust

"Look things will play out maybe not any time soon but it will" he said smiling "I've lived through two of your kind and each one of you gets better"

"But the moon goddess she hasn't been here for over 200 years?" I questioned

He sighed and kneeled beside me, Riley hugged me sideways

"Because the times not right"

"Well how could you possibly know?" I pushed him off me feeling slightly aggitated "No one's seen her"

"Well that's your first mistake" he said matter of factly "Was there ever a time you saw her like a dream or something?" he asked

I just rolled ny eyes at his response and shrugged. With nothing else to do I fought the memories back into my head and tried to remember or try to anything. There was nothing I can confirm that I ever saw her-

That dream well vision

That time that woman appeared in my head when I was overheating

"Yeah" I stuttered

"When?"

"I can't quite remember but do I was overheating and then I blacked out and she-she came and spoke to me" I looked at him shocked

"That was her?" I confirmed

"Do you recall what she said?" he pushed

"No"
