Chapter 25

After I fell asleep last night under the stars, I let my dreams wander to Jay and what he said. We have our differences and sure we're not perfect but that doesn't mean we have to fix every problem we have - like right now - I left him asleep in the woods because I really needed a shower so I just dove into the lake and let the water clean my body, even though I wanted the hot water

So here I an now sitting crossed legged on in the front seat of his car

"You could have told me you were swimming!" he shouted

"You were asleep and I didn't want to wake you" I shrugged

"That's not the point" he grumbled

"Well what is" I raised my voice

He sighed and breathed in deeply, silence falling over us

"I thought you left me" he whispered keeping his eyes on the road

"What?"

"When I told you all that stuff last night, when I woke up and found you gone I thought you took off" he sighed pulling the car off the road

I stared at him disbelievingly while he turned to me. Is that why he keeps acting out so I don't leave him before he does? It could go both ways

"I know I have trust issues but it shouldn't apply to you, you're my soul mate and you would never hurt me"

I threw my arms around him and buried my face into the nape of his neck, his stiffened at my touch but as I held him his posture relaxed and his fingers laced through my hair. Inhaling my scent his grip tightened around me

Pulling away slowly I gave him a small smile tracing my finger across his cheek

"I will never leave you" I whispered my breath fanning across his lips

His lips turned upwards into a smile and he pecked my lips softly

"Let's get too school" he beamed pulling me onto his lap

I gasped when I felt him harden under me when I shifted. Looking out the window like nothing happened he let out a deep breath and rested his forehead on my shoulder

"Come on or we'll be late" I smirked tapping his head

He laughed and turned the car on making our way to school ever so slowly

Jay pulled up to the parking lot if the school and gave me a big smile, I smiled back and opened my door. Getting out we were pretty late so Jay and I went straight to the front office to get a late pass. Stepping into first period Jay swung the door open dramatically turning everyone's attention to us

Hiding behind Jay I buried my face in his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me from behind, feeling his muscles flex I smiled walking into step with him

"Are you gonna sit on my lap?" he whispered running his hands further down my back

"No!" I whisper/shouted slapping his back

I pulled away from him and took the behind Chase, he grinned widely at me wriggling his eyebrows. Rolling my eyes I sat back and put my books on the desk

Half way through first period I heard the teacher yelling to everyone who sat in the back which included Jay, waving my head side to side I grinned but it soon faded when a piece of paper hit me in the forehead. Looking up I saw a grinning Jay
