Chapter 21

I searched the crowd of any movement but couldn't find one. "113?" I called out again into the never-ending crowd. "I think I'll have to redraw then..."

"No!" a deep raspy british voice rang out as someone ran up the stairs of the stage, nearly falling a few times but making his way next to me.

My breath caught in my throat once my eyes locked with those green orbs that I had grown so close to over the years of childhood. His curls still framed his face like a halo although he might have gotten a slight trim, seeing as they weren't as long as when I'd last seen him and his weak smile made my stomach do little flips. Why did it have to be him?

"Slip please?" I choked out, holding out my hand for him to place the slip in. He delicately put it on my palm making sure our hands grazed against each other as my breath caught in my throat at the tingle that was eminent through our touch. I cleared my throat and lightly shook my head, frazzled from everything happening. I unfolded the piece of paper and read it over. The note did indeed say "113" much to my dismay. I smiled brightly at the sea of people although inside, I was screaming and spoke into the mic. "Well, here we have it. Harry Styles, the love interest of my new movie. Hope you guys have a good night! Don't have too much fun at the after party and make sure to be able to drive home legally by the end of it!" I said then turned to hug Harry briefly. I was about to pull away when he just held on tighter and rubbed circles onto my back, trying to make this moment last as long as possible while the crowd just seemed to cheer him on. I cleared my throat and patted his back, a little harder than intended to try to get him to let me go, which he did as I threw one more smile at the audience then scampered backstage.

"I demand a redraw, or.. s-something to change this!" I yelled at Simon.

"Look, Roxy. There's nothing we can do about this. I'm really sorry, but what's done is done."

"That's no excuse! There is damn well something you can do about this! I'm not getting down and dirty with him in my film!"

"Look, honey.. what would the press think about this? They think you ended on good terms! Him not doing the movie will potentially break your careers." Paulo said taking my hands in his and looking me in the eyes sympathetically. "I know. I know. I hate this, too. But, there's nothing we can do about it. You're going to have to do the movie with him."

I sighed and closed my eyes, nodding. I opened my eyes that were lightly glossy with tears and looked into his. "Fuck. I need to get wasted."

He bent down in laughter before looking back at me, still lightly chuckling at my statement. "Only this once, am I allowing that. You go have fun, okay? Not too much fun, though. Damien and I do not approve of any bow chicka bow wow happening." He said referring to him and his husband. After my first movie with Paulo, Damien and him had "adopted" me as their own. Damien is a stylist as well and works with my stylist, Lola. He sorts out what I wear, and she sorts out my makeup and hair. They are a great team.

"Yes, mother." I said saluting him before blowing them kisses and heading to the bar, "Lush" that was holding the after party to the movie and was conveniently across the road from the cinema.

Two hours later, I found myself totally wasted standing on one of the tables while people surrounded me, cheering me on as I chugged down the bottle of champagne I had bought with my cast member, Ashley Benson as she chugged down her own next to me. We were like drunk buddies. We always went out together doing girly things or going to bars and getting wasted. She was there for me through this whole movie and I was there for her. She had recently gotten out of a tough relationship with Joe Jonas and was drinking her problems. I was drinking my problems about the whole movie thing. Basically, we were both trying to get wasted as a way to forget about our lives, which sucked at the moment.
