Chapter 26

ONE MONTH LATER

"So, where are we going today?"

"I was thinking we should just stay home and watch movies."

'               "That, my friend, or should I say, girlfriend, is a wonderful idea."

I rolled my eyes but continued on driving to the house. We'd finished working early today and had tomorrow off, so we decided to just stay in and relax. I pulled up the driveway and turned off the ignition, grabbing my handbag in the process from the ground. I turned to see Harry with the door open and a hand held out to help me out of the car, the gentleman he was. I smiled and took his hand as I hopped out of the vehicle. He slammed the door shut and I gasped.

"Don't manhandle my baby like that, Styles!" I shrieked in mock horror as I ran a hand over the hood of my white Toyota Prado, then running inside to raid the fridge of anything edible.

"Let's order some pizza, shall we?" he suggested as he peered over my shoulder into the basically empty fridge.

"Unless you enjoy lettuce with ketchup?" I raised my eyebrow as I held the two items out in front of him.

He rolled his eyes and got his phone out. "Pepperoni it is." He said walking away, his iPhone pressed to his ear.

I entered the movie room and searched through the many DVDs in the shelf. I decided on The Proposal. That movie always made me laugh. I slid it into the slot on the DVD player and got settled on the couch, wrapping the large red blanket tightly around me, seeing as it was unusually cold and goose bumps had managed to make babies all over my arms.

Harry joined me on the couch pulling me closer to him and wrapping the blanket around him as well. I sighed in content at the warmth he provided as I nestled my head in the curve of his neck. He kissed my forehead as the film started.

I found myself being nudged out of my thought zone, still on the couch with the movie finished, light from the sunset streaming in through the walls of glass. I looked up into Harry's electric green eyes and grinned. "Hello, there. What's up?"

"Come!" he urged, yanking on my arm to go outside with him. I did as he wanted and found myself lying on the grass next to him, his arm around my waist and my head on his chest, watching the sun disappear from the cloudless sky.

"It's beautiful." I breathed, a small smile playing at my lips.

He turned to look at me. "You're beautiful."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "That was so cheesy, Styles."

"Cheesy is my middle name!" he countered, bringing his face closer to mine and closing and space between our faces with a gentle peck.

I found my grin growing wider as he began singing Yellow by Coldplay.
