Chapter 24

Thomas POV

This is it, it's the day I'm going to tell Y/N about what I feel for her. I look up at the ceiling while I'm lying on my bed, smiling. I gave myself a few minutes before I get up and get myself ready for school.

I get up, cleaned myself, get dressed, eat breakfast and brushed my teeth afterwards. I grabbed my bag and keys, greeted my parents goodbye and head to my motorcycle.

I put on my helmet and drove it to school.

I parked my motorcycle in the parking lot, get off of it and head to class.

As arrived at my seat in class, Y/N showed up with ear buds in her ears. "Hey Y/N" I greeted loud enough for her to hear as she sits down. "Hi." She simply said, she then begin to stare at the window, without a smile on her face. I started to worry, the last time I checked, she was happy yesterday. But now, she's not in the mood.

I ignored it, thinking she was just tired and not in the mood to do anything. I let her be.

The next few classes have been like this, her only saying one word every time I talk to her or she would just nod.

The lunch bell rang and she picked her things up and walked out in a flash. I was getting worried, but let it drop and go to the cafeteria, hoping she would be there with the others.

But she isn't. I walk towards the table my friends were sitting with all confused faces. I took a seat, "Hey guys, where's Y/N?" I asked them. I received a shrug from them "I actually don't know, maybe she's in the library. Why?" Dylan asked. "She has been gloomy the past few hours, I don't even know the reason why." I answered as I get up from my seat and went off to the library.

Dylan stand corrected, there she is, with a book in her hand, reading and listening to music using her ear buds at the same time. I sit across her but then after a few minutes, she finished the chapter she was reading, putting a bookmark on the page she's in and exited the room. I got hurt at some point but I realized maybe she didn't know I was in front of her.

Y/N POV

I was in the library the whole hour, wanting to be alone and get used to doing something without my friends.

I was planning to read only a few chapters, but when I was reading halfway to the chapter, I can feel that Thomas is in front of me. I wanted to get away, but I don't want to hurt his feelings. So I just pretended that he wasn't there and finished the part that I'm reading. I put a mark on the page and exited the library. Tears of guilt are already threatening to come out, but I blinked my eyes to keep them from escaping out and went to the next class, social studies. Y/BFF/N and Dylan are in the same class as me, so it's another challenge for me to neglect them.

I entered the classroom, hoping they won't notice me walking to my seat. Unfortunately, they noticed. "Hi Y/N!" they said. I slightly smiled and greeted them with a nod. I then let my smile become the opposite of it as I look at the front, waiting for the teacher to come and start.

Dylan POV

Y/N just greeted us back with a nod. Thomas was right, she's looks gloomy and out of the mood. I looked at Y/BFF/N who has the same worried and confused face as me. I let it drop as the teacher arrived and started the lesson.

Thomas POV

"Wait! Y/N wait!" I said as I run to her. She was near at the exit but I grabbed her wrist. She turned around and looked at me, "Leave me alone." She sternly said as she pulled her wrist back and walked away. "Why are you neglecting us?" I asked her, she stopped without turning around and said, "Because I don't want to see your bloody shucked faces." She then left me and went home.
