Chapter Twenty Two: You can't catch a tiger using a fish net

Kayden's POV

I am so pissed right now. Ellie must've blocked my number or she turned her phone off because after telling me to mind my own business, I can't contact her again.

"are we not there yet?!" i asked impatiently at Ginny

"we're here" he said

i tapped Kaleb lightly and talked to him

"son, there's someone who wants to get your mom from me, we don't want that to happen right?" i asked him and he nodded looking all serious

i smirked and he smirked too..

"then here's the plan"

Ginny's POV

i don't know what suddenly came to Kayden's mind but damn, this father and son duo should be a pair to be looked out and i mentally noted myself to not get on the bad side of this duo.

They forced me to buy a lot of blueberry cheesecake for kayla but i didnt know that this was just bargaining chip for them to find Ellie.

"hey ginny. Make sure your performance is superb" kayden said and walked confidently to the table where Ellie is.

Then, when theyre just few meters apart from them.. A loud cry resounded and Ellie turned... Looking shocked and worried at the same time.

Kayla started crying... And the scenario was very chaotic to watch.

Ellie's POV

As i walked to the table where the dinner meeting is, i noticed that there's a familiar figure that's sitting among the crowd..

When i get nearer and nearer, i can sense the familiarity to the man who is happily chatting with Chef Mark and Allison.

"ohhh my Dearest Ellie, you're here!" Allison exclaimed

We exhanged hugs

"oh honey, you've gotten more beautiful than the last time.. That was 2 years ago but look at you,gorgeous as ever" Allison complimented me

"You're no different either" i smiled at her

"Come here, i'll introduce you to our honored guest, in behalf of Mr. Guiseppe, here is his trusted business rtner and confidant, Mr. Simon Craig"

I gasped, that's why his figure looks familiar

"Hello Ms. Amiels" he smiled at me "It's been a long time" he continued

I narrowed my eyes

"well, if it isn't Mr. Craig, long time indeed" i returned his gesture

"wait. You two know each other?" Chef Mark who is not really a talkative person asked

Simon chuckled

"I am very sorry for not telling you earlier, but Ms. Amiels and I were highschool classmates, and i have been always a fan of Ms. Amiels cooking, that's why im here right now" he explained

I instinctively tensed up as he said those words. This guy.. Is he still.. That competitive guy before

"well, im flattered. It's an honor Mr. Craig" i told him in a professional tone.

"please, dont be so formal with me Ellie" Simon smiled

His smile.. I could see he is up to something

"well lets continue our chat while sitting shall we?" he continued when he knew im not going to answer

I immediately went on the chair where there's a comfortable distance between me and simon. This guy's appearance looks nothing but trouble to me.

It's been a while as we started discussing things, but then suddenly i heard a loud familiar cry

i turned as i saw Kayla on her tantrum show while Kaleb started walking towards my direction

i looked at Ginny and Kayden with a confused look

Kayden's POV

i saw Ellie turned and stood in a confused state

As i was contiuing coaxing Kayla with the blueberry cheesecakes, Kaleb started walking towards his mom, I walked forwards Ellie too, then there I saw that annoying guy, he was surprised for a while then he smirked at me

i maintained my cold and aloof disposition until we reached their table

"Mr.Pierre, what a pleasant surprise to see you here" Allison turned to me and coaxed Kayla

"My, my why does  beautiful princess like you is crying?What's wrong honey?" Allison asked 

"m-mummy is gonna leave Kayla?" Kayla asked with her eyes still red and tears rolled down her cheeks endlessly

Ellie held Kaleb's hand and carried her pouch on the other, she then turned to Allison, Chef Mark,and him

"Im sorry for leaving this early but as our discussion has ended, the proposal Mr.Craig offered was very pleasant, but i humbly reject the offer, as i have my hands full on helping Elliot right now, and in the current Annual Crystal Palace celebration, but i will reccommend a Chef that has more outstanding talent that I am" she kindly gestured and waved goodbye

She then starred daggers at me when we were walking towards the car, Kayla returned back to sleep and Kaleb is busy patting Kayla's head, so me and ellie are the only ones inside the car

I can feel she' s upset, and i can feel that she already has seen through my tricks

"I just can't believe you" she finally said

i looked at her not sayig a word

i just stared at her poker face but deep inside me i wanted to laugh because her expression right now is rather amusing

she snorted

"dont you ever hide behind your aloof expression, i know you wanted to laugh.do you think the situation earlier is funny? I dont know he was there alright? I thought it was Mr.Guisseppe that im having a collaboration with"she explained

now i can't help but smile, after a while 

"Well, it was considered as a child's play for me. He cab plot all he wants to snatch you from me, but he better remmeber that he can't catch a tiger using a fish net"

Ellie just rolled her eyes at me and gave me that "you're beyond help" look

"Why should you be jealous, we already have kids..you already have me" as if on cue that she finally realized what she blurted

"er...i mean, i couldnt possibly be with someone else because the kids acknowledges you" she smiled awkardly

i smiled at her awakrd behavior and thought of teasing her

"there's no need to explain Ms.Amiels, i already know that fact"  after she heard that she gradually relaxed

"i know the fact that you are mine" i continued

her eyes popped "YOU!!!.." she didnt even has the chance to continue what she wanted to say because  already kissed her

i supressed my desire as to not to scare this little kitten, then i distanced my self enough so i could see her flushed expression

"I am the only one who could tame a tiger to be a little kitten afterall,so im not bothered by the presence of that Simon" i smiled at her and hummed as our drive home continued
