Reading the sign as I crossed the town line "Welcome To Storybrooke" I got a rush of excitement. It's a start of a new life for me. Three years ago I decided I was tired of doing odd jobs, and I was tired of being a bail bonds person, so I took a few college classes in law enforcement and when I graduated with honors I went right into the Boston Police Academy and graduated Second in my class . The numb nuts that was first was the current commissioners son, so draw your on conclusions on that one, anyway, after graduation I started on patrol in south Boston, AKA "southie", after six months I moved up to detective. It was great. I was loving my new career. Finally I had something, but I still felt like something was missing. I wanted a family. Almost everyone has a family. I've had probably 15 foster families, but only one I could call home. The second time I was adopted I was 15 and kind of a troublemaker, but Ingrid saw something no one else did I guess. "I see something in you Emma, I see hope. Hope for a bright future in you". She would always say to me. She's the one that pushed me to fill out the online application for Sheriff of Storybrooke   So I did and after a few phone interviews I was hired. So here I am, on a Friday evening crossing the town line into my new home and a new beginning.
