It's been almost two weeks since the last time I both saw and spoke with Raiden and have seen Markus come in a few times to bring me lunch or something that Raiden thought I would like. He has even been having flowers and chocolates along with jewelry sent to me along with notes that always apologized for that night he stood me up.

Finally today, I decided that I would talk to him after I took advantage of having the next couple of days off.

First I needed to go to the store to pick up some groceries and then when I returned, I would probably call Markus.

While returning back to my place, I nearly dropped the grocery bags in my hands as I walked towards my apartment and saw Raiden leaning his shoulder against the door frame, while looking down at his phone and then looks up at me and smiles.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Have you been getting my flowers and other gifts?" He asks me right away.

"Yeah. I have. But what are you doing here?" I repeat.

"It's been almost two weeks and I figured I'd come and see you." He smirks.

"How did you even get in?!" I asked.

"One of the tenants here was walking out right as I was walking towards the gate." He says.

"How did you know which one was mine?" I asked curiously.

"One of your neighbors told me." He says all casually then walks up and takes all the bags from my hands while I continue standing there for a brief moment in shock that he is even standing in front of me right now.

I shake my head and snap out of it then start pulling out my keys from my purse to head inside my apartment with him following behind me.

"Where's Markus?" I asked before closing the door behind us.

"He went to go and find a parking spot." He answers.

"Oh." I replied then set down both my keys and purse on the little table by the door and try to get the bags from his hands but he insisted on taking them towards the kitchen counter to set them down.

"So do you have any plans for tonight?" He asks while I walk behind him into the kitchen and start taking things out of the bags to begin putting them away.

"No." I replied and finished putting the last of the several items I bought, away before turning and looking at him.

"Now you do. Be ready by no later than six and dress casual." He says in a demanding tone of voice then starts walking towards the door before I have a chance to say anything.

"Wait, where are we going?" I ask.

"You'll see. It'll be a surprise." He winks and smiles at me as he looks back at me over his shoulder then leaves and closes the door behind him.

I stand there in the same spot for a little while longer just thinking about what all just happened and at how not just fast it all happened but also, how I didn't protest.

A Few Hours Later

Although I wasn't entirely doubting the fact he would show up this time, I couldn't help but also feel a little bit nervous more because who was to say that he wouldn't do that again?

However, with this amount of time in waiting for him to come, I couldn't help but begin thinking about how things are with him in general and about how rich and important he was from the word of mouth by Hayes and others, that have told me things, in which happens to remind me of my father.

My father was a good man who helped others and had money as well from helping businesses out also, just like Raiden.

Right at 6 PM on the dot, I heard a buzz ringing sound coming from downstairs outside the gate that you have to use to call a tenant and have me buzz them in.

"Hey." I say into the speaker box.

"Hello there beautiful. I'm downstairs." He says in a charming tone.

"I'll be right down." I tell him.

Now I'm not sure as to why I suddenly am feeling anxious excited and all giddy but, I can't lie, I'm really looking forward to tonight and have already moved on past the night we were supposed to go out the first time but didn't. Deep down inside I feel as though maybe he didn't purposely blow me off that night and had an emergency or a good reason as to why we weren't able to go out then?

Alright, alright. We're starting anew as of right now....DING! The door to the elevator opened and I began walking out to meet him at the gate.
