There is an awkward pause while I wait for a response to my offer so I decide to fill it with humming (*insterteenagers being hummed slightly out of tune*), until I finally get some form of communication from Nellie.
"Wow, you're brilliant at humming, did you make up that tune yourself?"
"Yeah, I did." I answer, blushing.
"Do you play any instruments then, you're obviously very musically talented?"
"Piano, because I was made to." I answer curtly, now just wanting a reply to my offer. "So will you come live with me?"
"Well..."
