Chapter 36

Peter's Pov:

The rest of my suspension went by pretty uneventful. We watched some (a lot of) movies and went on small missions. And I went on patrol of course.

And Natasha, Bucky, and I went motorcycling past my school. Which I didn't want to do but it was really fun.

"So your sure you'll be okay?"

"Yes I'll be fine," I smile rolling my eyes.

"Our offer still stands," Nat says mishvechiously [no clue on how to spell that].

"Natttt," I say droning out the 'T', "you can't kill Flash,".

"Not kill, just unlive him," Bucky smiles widely.

I laugh and shake my head.

"No killing or unliving Flash," I say and grab my backpack.

Tony and I walk towards the door.

"Removing the life out of Flash?" Nat calls out quietly.

I turn around and look at her grinning.

"Bye guys!" I say and we leave.

Once I get in the car I see a blur go bye and Pietro appears in the backseat.

"Couldn't miss your big day, could I?" He asks.

The first part of the day went by fine. Nobody mentioned my suspension and Flash didn't bother me.

"Dude we're doing the beep test today," Ned groans as we walk towards the gym.

"What's that again?" I ask. I have no clue what that is.

"I think it's also called the Pacer test? It's where you run back and forth a bunch a times," he trys to explain.

"I'm definitely picturing this wrong in my head," I laugh.

We get to the gym and Coach Wilson, who I found out isn't related to Sam, explained how the beep test works.

I hurry to the change room when he's done explaining. I pull out my phone and look through my contacts.

I decide to call Steve.

He picks up on the first ring.

"Peter?"

"Hi Steve," I say quickly.

"Is everything alright? Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay, I'm just wondering about something,"

"Okay, what is it?"

"We're doing a running test in gym and I'm wondering if I should try my hardest."

"Well if it's a test I don't see why not to."

"It won't reveal anything?"

"I think it should be fine,"

"Okay great, thank you!!"

"Of course son, I'm glad I could help,"

"Bye Steve!" I say into the phone.

"Bye Peter, good luck!"

I hang up and quickly hurry out the change room.

I see that Ned's asking a question so they haven't started.

He sees me, "Actually nevermind, I think I get it now," he says and people groan.

"Thanks bro," I whisper to him.

"No problem," he whispers back.

"Okay everyone on the line!" Coach Wilson says and we all hurry to the line.

An introduction plays then a beep goes off. We all jog to the first line.

I focus on my breathing and the levels pass by. Gradually people drop out and soon enough it's just me left.

"Level 13

Level 15

Level 18"

I just focus on my breathing and the sound of my feet hitting the ground.

"Level 19

Level 20

Level 21

Level 21 thirteen

Level 21 fifteen

Level 21 sixteen

You've reached the end of the test,"

I bend down and touch my knees. I won't lie, that was pretty hard.

I then look up and see everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is staring at me.

"Uh.." I say quietly and walk over to Ned.

"Dude" Ned whispers.

"Why's everyone staring at me?" I whisper back.

"Maybe because you JUST BEAT THE TEST!!" he whisper shouts.

"Okay, Mr Parker come with me." Coach Wilson says. "Do some sit ups or something," he mumbles to everyone else.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Morita," he says.

I mentally face palm.

Should have called someone else I guess.

We walk in silence the rest of the way.

"Mr Wilson," Morita nods to him. "And Peter Parker..." He says rolling the R's.

"Hi," I reply trying to be polite but he just narrows his eyes at me.

"So what did Parker do this time?"

"He's on drugs."

"What?!?" I turn to him in surprise. Where did he get that from.

"Okay, what type of drugs are we talking?"

"Performance enhancing. Steroids." He says and I roll my eyes.

"I'm not doing drugs!" I say.

"You know who would say that?"

"Someone on drugs." I answer for him

"Someone on drugs." He says even though I already answered.

I sigh.
