Aaron Walters had it all; lived very comfortably in an expansive luxury penthouse atop one of those desirable downtown glitzy condo towers, possessed the right education credentials to get to know influential people who willingly opened those invisible doors, zealously pursued a most promising career in the financial world, quickly and successfully climbed that proverbial corporate ladder, was on and off dating a stunning head-turning rising-star model, earned more money in a year than most people would ever dream about earning in a lifetime, and then... Set-up and framed for Madoff-like crimes he didn't commit, Walters was unceremoniously knocked from those pinnacles of success, and then like a common criminal dragged through the money-draining legal system. Although eventually proven innocent, the damage was done and his reputation destroyed. With heart and mind festering with thoughts of eventual revenge, the disillusioned and embittered former high-flying financier sank to become a reclusive dirt-poor subsistence farmer living far as possible away from those large population centers where he had spent much of his life. One day while routinely labouring in his vegetable garden he encounters a strange little snake-like creature. Fearful of snakes and loathing them, he attempts to kill the reptile with the spade he's holding. He narrowly misses but persists in flushing the little creature out of hiding to make another attempt to kill it. With spade raised and readied to strike at the snake again, he's astounded to hear a tiny voice desperately cry out to him for mercy and to spare her life.
