Somedays later...
Meerab was sitting on the sofa along with maa begum when he entered in the hallway.
"Kahin jaa rahe ho?", maa begum asked.
"Jii maa saab. Woh ek order dene jana tha", murtasim said.
"Kis cheez ka?"
"Baby ke jhule ka"
Maa begum nodded her head.
"Haan thik hai, thik hai magar colour decide kiya? Kounsa le rahe ho?"
"Obviously pink/blue", they said together.
"Dekho meerab pink colors ladkiyon ko accha lagta hai so pink", he said.
"Aapne future dekh rakha hai? Beta hua toh kya karenge", she exclaimed.
"Pink colour ka hi ayega jhula"
"Nhi blue"
"Pink"
"Blue"
And they started arguing over a colour. Maa begum facepalmed herself.
"Allah yeh dono baccha sambhalenge jo khud ek colour ke piche ladd rahe hain", she uttered.
She looked at both of them.
"Chupppp"
They both stopped arguing and he settled himself on the sofa.
"Jhagadna ka kya hai? Na toh blue ayega na hi pink samjhe. Grey yaa black laa do gender le kar jhagadna band karo dono", maa begum said.
"But maa saab..."
Maa begum interrupted," chup ek dam chup. Jhula hi toh hai ek usmein argument karne ko koi zarurat nhi hai. Tum rehne toh murtasim khan main khud le aungi woh".
"Bilkul thik", meerab muttered.
"Kya bola? Kya bola?", he asked.
"Kyun bataun mai"
He curiously looked at her.
"Kya hua?"
"Kyun bataun main", he replied.
"Maa dekhiye inhein", she utte.
"Murtasim", he heard his mothers angry voice.
"Aab kya kiya mujh gareeb insaan ne", he cried." Chala hi jaata hun main idhar se", saying this he left.
Time was passing and suddenly maa begum noticed that her daughter in law was winching in pain. She got scared by this.
"Meerab beta kya hua?", she asked.
"Maa mete pait mein achanak se bohot dard ho raha hai", she uttered while crying.
Her delivery date was far away then why she's feeling this much unbearable pain.
She wiped her tears gently.
"Rote nhi hai bete, hum abhi chalenge doctor sadiya ke paas haan. Himmat rakho bete", maa begum said patting her cheeks.
She nodded her head while taking long breaths. Murtasim wasn't in home. They left for hospital and informed him about this. Murtasim was coming from other side.
Doctor sadiya checked her and told maa begum that they have to do c-section.
"Magar doctor abhi toh date hai na delivery mein", maa begum said.
"Pre mature delivery ke bare mein suna hoga apne. Jaise ki maine apko bataya hi tha last time check up ke time", doctor sadiya stated.
Maa begum nodded.
