ALEC'S POV
"Get ready fast!" I cried to Kevin as I yawned and settled on the chair near the stairs.
" Will have to wait! You used the bathroom first!" Kevin replied.
" Take your time then! "
I opened up today's newspaper and began reading it.
The headline was..
A MYSTERIOUS KILLER ON A KILLING SPREE!
"Sounds like the killer is playing csgo." I thought with a chuckle.
New York cops suspect that the killer of the Smiths family is behind the rest of the nearby murders too.
It had been estimated that the killer has killed around 13 people so far.
INNER ENTITY - WOW! ITS OVER 9!
"Shut up"
INNER ENTITY - WHY YOU ALWAYS IGNORE ME?
" You are just a figment of my crappy imagination." I muttered to myself.
Suddenly, I heard some footsteps from the backyard.
"Kevin!!!" I called out.
" Still not ready!" The voice came from bathroom.
If Kevin's in bathroom then who is in the backyard?
Maybe I am overreacting!
Yeah! That must be it!
I got up and walked towards the backdoor.
I looked through the glass window beside the door.
No one in the view.
"Just as I thou-
The splatter of glass made me scream in surprise.
I jumped back and realized that the window had been broken!!
I immediately went outside to look for the ruffian which was a really bad idea as I wasn't carrying any firearm .
" Show yourself!! Is your dad gonna pay for the glass!?" I screamed angrily.
Suddenly,something flashed from the corner of the house and at that moment ,a projectile flew towards me. I ducked and barely avoided it .
The thing crashed a few meters away from me and got struck into the ground.
I knelt to observe it.
A black dagger.
So someone's playing ninja game.
" Kevin!!" I yelled.
Kevin arrived at the back door a few moments later and was shocked after seeing the mess .
" What happened here?!" He cried.
" Didn't you heard the noise of glass breaking ??" I asked .
Kevin shook his head " Sorry,was in bathroom.".
"What do you think of this?" I asked Kevin as I showed him the dagger.
" Are you OK??" Kevin asked me,worried.
" Cheated death,my heart's still beating fast though." I muttered with a chuckle .
Well, I must say that I have great reflexes but at the same time, my heart can't take such surprises continuously!
