I found myself shuffling uncomfortably in the small booth we were unfortunately placed in upon Chishiya's demand.

With the small length of the dark area our bodies were closely compact, the only light coming from the screen ahead of us. The noise was almost annoying; the groaning of zombies and the echos of gunshots.

I pulled the small curtain on my side closed, taking one last look outside at the busy arcade with a loud sigh. "It's too cramped" I complained, almost longing to be outside again.

Chishiya chuckled, it was almost a taunting chuckle as if he were intending to make fun of me. He grabbed the plastic gun ahead of him and propped it neatly in his hands, he seemed to hold it well which made me twitch my eyebrow a little in uncertainty, I could only presume it was the shooting games he used to play on his phone. "Does that bother you y/n? Are you embarrassed?"

"Embarrassed?" I yelped, looking at him with confusion plastered over my features, the flashing light of the screen ahead of him was the only light that lit up the boys attractive features, he had a smile on his face as if he were mocking me. "Why would I be embarrassed?"

I wouldn't have expected nothing less from the boy who always enjoyed to one up people with his knowledge, however, I couldn't help but hate when he used this sort of attitude towards me.

"Stop blushing and pick up the gun, I want to start the game. You're holding me up" the boy beside me said as he looked away from me, a small smirk playing on his face as if he were satisfied with the words he had just said to me, I merely scoffed.

I wasn't sure what to say, I wasn't sure if I should snap at him or simply ignore him.

Picking up the plastic gun ahead of me was my best option, so I did that, I didn't necessarily want to get on the boys bad side - I knew it could be quite ugly, and he was a fan of games so he tended to get quite irritated when he lost which... wasn't too often.

Chishiya peered towards me, "I'm going to beat you"

I sighed helplessly, throwing my arms up a little, "I wouldn't be surprised, you always win"

I discretely remember the boy winning at everything, wether that be math quizzes to arcade games and sporting events to spelling bee's, he was good in everything he did and it was somewhat annoying to someone like me. I wasn't necessarily dumb, I just simply wasn't as smart as the blonde boy who was my closest friend, and I was always thankful he didn't brag to me about his success in whatever he did, however, I couldn't decipher if I would want him to brag rather than to brush it off as if it was an everyday occurrence.

Chishiya cackled, "That's true"

The game started quickly after Chishiya bathed in my compliment, I was a little confused with the whole idea of the game as it was simply a pull the trigger and aim at the fake zombies approaching the screen, it wasn't like they were hard to shoot as they were close up to the screen anyways, it was more dependent on speed.

The plastic gun was uncomfortable to hold, I couldn't help but admit my arm felt awkward in the position I was holding it, and I almost felt a little pathetic holding a plastic gun to a screen in a darkened booth in a busy arcade bursting with people.

"Y/n, I'm winning!" Chishiya cheered, he almost seemed excited despite knowing this would always be outcome.

I couldn't help but smile, sometimes I hated him but there was something about his excitable side that made me almost want to hold him. "Mhm! Good job!"

We only continued for a few seconds before the screen went black, with a quick pop from the game it closed itself off, and the booth was eaten with darkness that consumed our stiff bodies.

"What's happening?" I whispered, unsure as to if there was someone dangerous outside, I wondered if maybe a few gangsters had rolled up insisting they get their turn to play the game.

"I'm not sure" Chishiya said, "It's probably just a power outage" he managed, dragging open the dark felt curtain on his side, and the boy furrowed his eyebrows, finding that he pushed his head outside a little further within each second. "Hold on, I'm just going to jump outside y/n, stay here if you want"

"Sure I-" before I could finish my sentence the boy had jumped away from me, leaving me in a silence enveloped with the awkwardness that I had experienced only a moment ago.

Chishiya seemed to have an ongoing theme with me... To simply leave me speechless.

With a loud sigh showing my dismay I jumped out of the booth, calling his name loudly.

However, I paused in my moment of rage as I looked around me, the loud noises from the arcade seemed to dissapear, similarly the people who were once rushing around the arcade were nowhere to be seen, there was no noise, no people, and no electricity in the arcade which only a moment ago had just that.

With a pit in my stomach I carefully made my way around, the only light was that of the sun and the sun shone brightly through the large windows of the arcade.

My eyes scanned the empty arcade quietly, with a shaky breath I began to grow uneasy with the idea that everyone had so suddenly disappeared from our sight.

"Y/n?" A gentle voice from the left of me called, it seemed to be some distance away but in the moment of complete uncertainty and confusion the familiar and comforting voice gave me a sense of serenity.

I walked towards Chishiya, my legs were almost weak as my mind offered me a million thoughts for the sudden disappearance of those at the arcade. Chishiya stood at the window, his eyes seemed to be concentrated on whatever was out there.

I took a stand next to him.

"Where is everyone?" He managed gently.

I looked away from his face and towards the window, and I felt my eyes widen quickly.

In the busy streets of Tokyo there wasn't a single person.

Everyone had vanished.
