A/N: This chapter made me step out of my comfort zone in writing. I've been trying my hand in writing this.

<(_ _)>

Trigger warning: mentions of rape, attempted rape, torture, and other stuffs that I may have forgotten to mention.

If this makes you uncomfortable, I won't force you guys to read it. I'm not that good in writing those dark stuffs yet but it's not an assurance that it is something you can read.

Happy Reading!!

---------------------------------------

A couple guards were stationed outside the gates as William and the others scouted the area. Following the latest kidnapping of orphans, they located the area where the hunting is held and guarded, on Western England, in the outskirts of Dartmoor.

"Guards, huh?" Moran says as they hid behind a couple of trees and bushes.

"Yes. The forest itself is on Baskerville's land." William explained. "According to Fred's investigation, there's only one carriage operating for the manhunters left by Enders. In the north, the terrain is surrounded by rivers and mountains. If you get out of the forest, it is wetlands and wastelands, there's nowhere to run."

"No matter how the children try to escape, once they are inside... getting out was already impossible." Elise bit the bottom of her lip at the horrible thought.

"A well-made miniature garden..." Louis notes with a bitter taste in his mouth. "I don't think there's any order to those hunts. But what should we do? The entrance has so many guards."

"Going through the front will only alert more people inside." She said as she looked at the gate behind the guards. "Going around the forest is our best option."

"Agreed. Let's go farther east toward the river and look for a path to the northern parts there." Moran told them.

"Let's hurry." Fred was starting to get anxious as he glanced at the gate. "It's been a while since the children were brought here."

The group traveled on the side where no guard is watching. The path was rocky and narrow but nevertheless, they managed to come close to the area where they can spot the fortress.

Despite the illness she has, Elise was managing just fine and kept up with them. She had trained her stamina so she won't fall behind.

William saw two fortresses jutting out from the forest. "As expected, there's a big fortress and a smaller one downstream."

"Stronghold for the hunt, huh?"

"The nobles are on the hunt and should return to the fortress. That's when we strike." Louis says.

Elise was looking around the terrain in hopes of finding a quicker way to reach the fortress ahead.

"A river... it's too risky to swim through it." She thought while watching the river's current. "We don't have that much time. If there is something where we can use to cross... wait, if there's a river in this hunting grounds... there might also be...!"

As if on cue, Fred calls their attention. "William-sama, there's a bridge over there!"

Once arriving to the bridge, Moran examined the bridge and frowned. "It looks old... it hasn't been used in a while."

"Let's carefully cross one by one." William says. "I'll go first."

"Please wait, nii-sama." Elise placed a hand in front of him. "I think it's better if I go first. I'm the lightest out of all of us."
