Noblemen and noblewomen have gathered to commemorate the completion of the North Cross Park the following day. Of course, the Moriarty siblings were present as well since this is also the day where William will able to test Whiteley's humanity.

"Hah... I'm surprised...." Albert says after looking around. "This area was originally littered with abandoned factories, making it a dangerous hotbed for crimes."

"Yes, nii-san." William nodded in agreement. "The re-development of the land into a beautiful park is due to the work of MP Whiteley. There's supposed to be a ceremony to celebrate its completion."

"That's right. We'll be able to test Whiteley's humanity here, William." The brunette says before facing his sister. "Thank you for coming with us today, Elise."

Elise smiled at them. "It's because William-nii-sama invited me that I am now here with you. How could I refuse?"

Ah, so they're back to playing siblings again. William smiled as they followed the rest of the nobles to the commemoration area.

"Shall we get going then?"

When they reached the area, the mayor started off with a few words of gratitude and the issues they faced to complete the park. As expected, it also turned as a verbal assault against Whiteley, who they blamed for the delay and for "forcing" them his own plans, resulting for exceeding on the budget planned.

Of course, this was all staged by William to see if the man truly has the humanity he is looking for. Elise was aware of it and noticed how the crowd seems to be wavering of their belief to the MP as the mayor and some of the parliament members keep on slandering him.

"Is it okay to behave as you like just because you're popular with the public?!" Moran shouts from the back, as instructed by William.

But looking at Whiteley, he seemed rather calm about it. William was observing in order to see what kind of man he truly is, whether he has the humanity or not.

Whiteley was then called to speak next. "Well...What the mayor and MP Spencer just said about the process of constructing the park... It's all true."

The blonde's eyes slightly widened from surprise. Despite the defaming accusations to him, the MP still held his head high with a smile.

"He didn't deny it...rather, he didn't try to attempt restore his honor by explaining his actions. But instead, he accepted those accusing words but he never backed down either." She thinks while watching the MP.

"He's a good man..." She whispered softly. "And more human than the other Members of the Parliament..."

Albert and William glanced at her. The younger Moriarty was actually the one they can truly believe in her judgment of Whiteley, as the reason they brought her was for William to confirm his own beliefs.

"I agree."

Once the ceremony was over, the crowd dispersed to look around the completed park. On their way to the MP, Elise saw many children who are crippled, have smiles on their faces as they rush around with excitement with their wheelchairs.

"There aren't steps in the park!"

"It's hard for us to play in parks until now..."

"It's totally safe here!"

"I'll race you to the tree over there!"

Seeing the satisfied face of the MP as he watched the children smile happily, Elise realized his intentions all along. Yes, she was not wrong of her thoughts about him being a good man. And she made a small smile at his kindness.
