Her attack happened again.
And this time, it was when she was in the middle of the night after they arrived in Durham the other day. Elise had been dreaming a terrible nightmare where her anxiety, fear, and all intense and negative emotions suffocated her and woke her up in fit of coughing and difficulty in breathing.
"It hurts... I can't breathe..."
She wanted to call for her brothers' help but she could barely make a sound and the pain in her chest felt as if she's being constricted.
Fortunately, there was a bell she can use to call for their help as they had prepared it in case something like this happens.
All three immediately took action after she managed to call them. Attacks like this were frequent when she was a child after the Moriarty household burned down and because of that, they already know what to do.
The only problem is that, it had gotten severe but mercifully, she didn't cough up blood this time.
It gave them relief when it was over, but this also served as a reminder that her illness is getting worse.
"Louis-nii-sama, I'll be going to the town square to buy some things." Elise says to the younger blonde as she grabbed her basket from the kitchen.
"Eh? You don't have to, Elise!" Louis stopped her before she could step outside. "I'll go buy them for you so there's no need to strain yourself. Now, tell me what is it you're buying?"
She gave out a sigh as she had expected this reaction ever since last night's attack. "Onii-sama, it will be fine. Actually, I just want to have a walk outside. There's less risk of me having an attack since Durham is a wonderful countryside for my health and I know you know that."
His eyes softened, agreeing to her words. "I know, sister. But, I worry for you. We all worry for you."
Ever since her illness worsened, it was inevitable that they can be a little overprotective and anxious regarding her health nowadays.
"You worry too much, Louis-nii-sama." She smiled a little as she held his hand to assure his worries. "Just like William."
"Nii-san is my brother, after all, so we share the same traits." He says with a small smile. "And you are already a precious little sister to me so of course I worry."
"But really, I will be fine. I won't stay out long and... I'm thinking of visiting William in the university. There's nothing to be worried about, don't you agree, nii-sama?"
He placed a hand on his face and sighed. "If only either Bond or Fred were here, I would be assured that at least you have a companion..."
The two mentioned people plus Moran and Jack were in the Moriarty estate in London to guard (and clean) the house while the siblings are out for a few days at the moment.
She giggled. "There's no need for that, though I appreciate the thought. So... will you allow me to go outside by myself, Louis-onii-sama?"
Looking at her pleading face, Louis really can't say no to his sister. "All right. Just as long as you don't strain yourself. I still worry but I know you are not a reckless person, Elise."
"Since you'll be visiting nii-san, I'm sure it will be fine." He thought.
She hugged the younger blonde and beamed at him. "Thank you, nii-sama...!"
