(flashback)

"Cecilia, I brought Edward over like what you asked." Adrien calls out to his sister. He was worried when he saw that the troubled and anxious look on her face. "Cecilia?"

The young lady handed them the letter she had finished reading and spoke softly. "Nii-san, Sir Edward, please read this letter Elise-onee-sama had written."

The two males looked at each other in confusion before Edward asked.

"Is milady asking for help?"

"...Yes."

In the letter, Elise expressed her apologies first for deceiving them. She revealed that William is not her brother, but he is her lover and she had revealed William's plans and what she had assumed of her situation. She claimed that everything was set up by William in order to unite the nobility and citizens and achieve the equality the seek of.

Elise admitted that she didn't want them to be involved since she considered them her closest friends. But because she had foreseen that William had the thoughts of dying and carry the sins and guilt to his death all by his self, she wanted to save him but at the same time, she didn't want to ruin his plans.

She had mentioned that she had asked Sherlock Holmes for his help in advance and explained what she wanted them to do.

In her letter, she asked Cecilia to open the gates of the dam partially for the water to flow to Thames river and make it rise. With the chaos that's bound to happen, security will be lax which will make it easier to slip in undetected. The dam will remain partially open for a certain time then close it back again to avoid flooding.

Next, Adrien and Edward must to be on standby near the Tower Bridge that was under construction. She knew where the final act will be held and she had predicted that William will fall to the River Thames after making Sherlock the hero just as the blond had planned. Letting the water rise from it's usually height will lessen the risk of death from falling from that height.

That's why she wanted them to be there. As soon as they fall to the dark river, Adrien and Edward must take them out from the water to avoid further injuries and quickly leave the country for the time being.

Risky? Yes. She explained the risks of it, but this was the only way she can thought of to satisfy William's plan but also not let him get killed.

But rather, kill the feelings of dying as means of atonement.

She had decided to use William's plan to her favor and thought of every possibility that could happen. If the person had every intention to die by falling from the Tower Bridge, they could die by the water's impact or fatal injuries. That's why she asked for Sherlock's help as well. Not only to protect him from falling, but to also convince him that he can still live and atone for his sins.

"Unbelievable..." Adrien mumbled. "Will this... Will this really work out? This plan is... is..."

"Insane, I suppose." Edward crossed his arms. "Which is a little unlikely from someone like Lady Elise."
