Return of an Old Friend

Ash was in Route 2 was just about to enter the Viridian Forest until someone called out his name.

"Ash" a voice called out to him

Ash turned saw a familiar face, the person was a girl the same age as Ash, she had honey blonde hair, blue eyes, a red hat with a black ribbon, a black shirt with a white collar, a long red skirt, black stockings, & black shoes

"Serena?" Ash said surprisingly

"Ash Ketchum"

"Serena Yvonne"

They both hugged & laughed while Pikachu & Meowth gave them a confused look.

"Uh, Boss?" Meowth asked "Who's this dame?"

"Guys, this is my good friend" Ash said "We met each other when we were little kids"

"Ash, are these your Pokémon" Serena asked

"Yep, that's my starter Pikachu the other one is Meowth" Ash said

"Hello there, I'm Serena Yvonne" Serena introduced herself "It's nice to meet you"

"Pikachu" Pikachu greeted

"Nice to meet you two" said Meowth

"Serena & I met each other at Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp" Ash explained "Serena injured her knee in the forest but I came & helped her get back on her feet"

"Speaking of that, I have something for you, Ash." Said Serena as she pulled out a white & blue handkerchief with a Poké Ball symbol on it. "I kept this for you until the day we meet again. I had it cleaned up for you"

"Thank you, Serena" Ash said as he took the hankerchief "But why are you here?"

"I came here to join you on your journey" Serena answered

"Really?" Ash asked surprisingly

"Mm-hm" Serena nodded "I'm traveling as a Pokémon Trainer myself, but I'm not competing in gyms or anything. I just want you & I to make up for lost times & I want to experience what it's like to be on a journey as a Pokémon Trainer."

"Do you have any Pokémon with you?" Ash asked

"I do, she's right here" Serena said pointing at a brown fox-like Pokémon

"Wow, it's an Eevee" exclaimed Ash as he pulled out his Rotom Phone

Eevee, The Evolution Pokémon, A Normal Type, Eight different Pokémon evolve from the amazingly adaptive Eevee, according to current studies. Its unstable genetic structure allows for this incredible diversity in Evolution.

"I got her from Professor Oak" Serena explained "I also caught a Pidgey on the way here."

"Is your Mom okay with it?" He asked

"My Mom is ok with me traveling with you, plus somebody has to look after you" she said with a wink as Ash smiled

"In that case, welcome aboard" he said

so with the return of an old friend a traveling companion, the journey continues

SHABAM! Serena has joined Ash on his journey. I was gonna have her join Ash when he arrived in Hoenn, but I decided to have her come to Kanto join him. Yes I decided to give her an Eevee as her starter like in the Pokémon Let's Go Eevee swtich game. I also decided to have her catch a Pidgey, cause y'know, I thought it suited her. Anyway, here's the next chapter
