Don't feel pity for the enemy.

It was one of the first things you were taught when you became an Elite. Strapped in red and white and tasked to help other cops however, as you stood, watching a bleeding out man reach desperately for aid you allowed yourself the privilege of pitying him as he cried out, clutching his side tightly.

"Damn...I'm Hit! "

You forced yourself to mask your empathy with arrogance while he wailed for help from other heisters; his voice strong and smooth to the point of sending shivers down your spine as you crouched down, moving to 'cuff' him - all while sneaking his flask over to him, wedging it under his suit jacket and placing a small first aid kit next to his head before leaving him with the rest of the retreat.

You couldn't help but remember the confused yet surprised look the man gave you at your empathy towards him - Eyes staring unendingly at you from the mask as you made your way out of the area, unable to see him undo the cuffs easily and take a drink while being left to ponder about how despite all the crimes they committed you were still kind to them and without knowing you had made a friend in the affluent man.

You were a bit startled when the card came through your door, smelling like expensive cologne and written in breath - taking hand writing as you sat in your home, carefully re-reading to ensure that what you had just read was real, each word having been carefully chosen to make you either swoon or fluster

' Dear (F/N) (L/N),

I thank you for your kindness towards me when we met, I will savour your mercy and overwhelming consideration towards my wounds and, by extension, my life. I do wish to acquaint myself with you better if you would grace me with your winsome presence, especially with your delightful gaze once more in a candle lit dinner - it will be my treat of course to repay you for your gracious acts towards my character... However, I am rambling as I attempt to write this for the seventeenth time, not even my fine arts or whisky can take my mind away from your visage.

I simply must see you once again. Tonight will be best at 9, while the night is still young and the stars start to peek out of their cloaks - how your sweet presence has made me feel like a young man again.

I will await your arrival on Dockston street, ask for table 97 in The Vinyard and wear something flattering, my dear.

Sincerely, Duke '

You settled in your seat, thinking for a moment about his words and sighed, deciding to go as you would feel bad turning down such a oddly polite man, getting up to look for an outfit, you had 5 hours to get ready and there so you started with a shower, slowly spending the first 2 hours getting all pampered before moving to stare at your wardrobe, pulling out something simple - similar looking to a casino get up with a white button up paired with a black vest, bow tie, dress pants and some socks you found in the back of your drawers and got ready, making yourself presentable as you grabbed your keys and bag to leave, feeling rightfully nervous as you approached your door.

You were invited through a letter through your door, you didn't even know how they got your address! however...He was hot...damn.

You finally started moving again, and by the time you got there it had started to rain - you softly cursed yourself for not bringing an umbrella as a familiar voice spoke up, a pretty handsome man moving his green suit jacket over your head to shield you from the rain.
